Hi there and welcome to my profile. My name is Caterina, and I'm a licensed guide of Florence, the most beautiful city in the world. It would by my pleasure to reveal it to you. More than fifteen years ago I graduated from the faculty of history of Moscow State University, where the art of Renaissance has become my passion and love. After a great journalist experience, years of editing and writing about fashion, I have decided to get back to my roots, to the history and art. My love story with the city of Florence has brought me here, to the homeland of such genius as Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, Botticelli and others, where I decided to settle down. It's been over ten years since I have moved myself here, the city of endless civilization, culture and art of Renaissance. Florence is full of fine arts, amazing architecture, painting and literature, which deserve to be recognized by the visitors of the city. Once I moved, I've decided to go ahead with history — so I continued my studies to get the profession of tourist guide. It took me a few years, and it was hard to obtain the degree, but it's worth it. The license permits me to work in English as well as in Russian and Italian. I accept private groups up to 6-7 persons. I can offer you you individual route through the city and it's museums at a suitable time for you. Private excursions are not limited by a usual monotonous program, it considers easy communication with a guide, it gives an opportunity to ask questions and dive into curious details that you won't get on the group excursions. All tours of mine are flexible. I'll be happy to guide you through the most beautiful city in the world where the phenomenon of the Renaissance was born. - Licensed tour guide of Florence and its Province (English, Russian, Italian). - Moscow State University Degree in History and Ethnology. - Journalist I am not a driver. I can accompany you in your vehicle or I can arrange for a separate car and driver.

The Uffizi is one of the oldest art galleries in Europe, the main collection of which was created by Medici exponents. This tour includes 2 hour visit that reveals the most famous paintings of Botticelli, Leonardo, Michelangelo, Titian and other works by famous masters as Cimabue, Paolo Uccello, Filippo Lippi, Raphael, Caravaggio Giotto. I promise not to be boring and not to go into specific art details, techniques and dates but to go for many curious stories and legends that almost each painting has behind it. The Uffizi Gallery is closed on Monday. Be aware the Uffizi Gallery is the most frequenting museum in the world, so it's rather crowded all the year round, let me know in advance if you have some particular needs (like headphones) or you have medical concerns.
We'll spend two hours exploring the Uffizi gallery. Our itinerary is based on the evolution of the image of the Virgin in Italian painting.
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
