What is the Renaissance and what makes Florence the cradle of this Renaissance? Join me on one of my walking tours and I will tell you all about it. The art, the architecture but also the social history, all come together to make it an instructive yet highly enjoyable experience (there’s no exam at the end). Also, many are the less frequented Museums and churches in Florence, where you can find yourself in front of an absolute masterpiece, and no one around to bother you.

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THIS TOUR, CONTACT ME BEFORE MAKING A BOOKING REQUEST. The Uffizi Gallery houses some of the most important examples of Renaissance art anywhere. We will see a selection of the Museum's masterpieces in the context of a major landmark of Renaissance architecture replete with history of the Medici dynasty. The day continues with a walk through the Medieval city (with an eye out for some hidden gems) stopping for a light lunch in a 'pizzicheria' frequented mainly by locals. After lunch the tour will take us through to the Cathedral complex and onwards to the Accademia to see Michelangelo's David as well as other works of his. YOU are responsible for booking and purchasing the Uffizi and Accademia tickets, on the official websites, (for the Accademia it's webshop.b-ticket.com) and these tickets must be booked for specific time slots. That is why we must liaise on this platform so as to define, together, the appropriate time slots.
Bearing in mind that I can customise the tour in order to accommodate any specific needs or wishes you may have, my tour has the following itinerary which starts in Piazza della Signoria: - Uffizi Gallery - Via dei Leoni - Piazza San Firenze - Via del Proconsolo - Via Dante Alighieri - Via dei Tavolini - Via Orsanmichele - Piazza del Mercato Nuovo - Via Calimala - Ponte Vecchio - Borgo Santi Apostoli - Piazza Santa Trinita (lunch) - Piazza Santa Maria Novella - Via de Cerretani - Piazza San Giovanni - Via Ricasoli - Galleria dell'Accademia
