Buongiorno! I'm Karine, your private licensed guide for Lucca, Pisa and Florence provinces. I live in Italy but I was born in the south-west of France in 1970. I'm a professional working in tourism and have been organising and escorting individual customers and groups for 30 years! I have a limitless passion for Italy and one of my dreams came true when I settled in Tuscany in 1991, after obtaining my national guide's licence in France. I work as a tour leader in Tuscany and Italy since 1993, I am a licensed guide in Florence, Pisa, Lucca and their respective provinces. I'm a member of the National Association of Touristic Guides (ANGT) and the European Guide Federation (FEG). During these thirty years, I've met all kinds of obstacles in organising trips and, above all, a sea of emotions with customers who've always been ready to share experiences and knowledge. On the other hand, I've learned that customers aren't all the same, to be offered the same tours as everyone else. I like to understand what people like so I can offer them the programme they really want. Working in travel agencies has allowed me to understand the work from the organiser's point of view and my experience behind a desk, together with years and years of contact with customers, has given me the professionalism that only the most varied and numerous experiences can give. First time in Florence? You may feel disoriented by the density of monuments and works of art. Indeed, it is the highest in the world. It is therefore important to first do a tour aimed at understanding Florence, which includes the iconic sights of course, and to learn about the Medici family history But Florence is also filled with secret places such as a historic pharmacy, a panoramic square or the early vintners. I propose to combine classic spots and hidden treasures. We can also discover the city through a gastronomic tour, a bike or boat tour, there are solutions for everybody! Just ask me.
Karine was an amazing tour guide with so much knowledge and insight. Our ten person group thoroughly enjoyed the tour and all Karine had to share. Karine booked us a table for lunch and even made restaurant recommendations for the rest of our stay. I highly recommend this tour with Karine.
Karine was super welcoming and of course knowledgeable about the city. She gave us a great tour summarizing the biggest and most important parts of the historic city while simultaneously giving a detailed oral history of the city. She answered a ton of questions we had along the way, all the while fitting everything nicely into the tour of what is such a great and rich city. We would absolutely love to tour with her again
Karine was lovely. She was very knowledgeable and helped us understand more of the history of Florence. She was very helpful in offering suggestions on other activities in Florence during our stay as well. If you’re looking for a guide, especially one that is more personal that the mega tours, I would highly recommend Karine!
My husband, my three adult daughters and I did a walking tour with Karine in Florence. Although I had been in Florence several times, Karine took us to places I had not seen and added valuable information about others I had. Also, her English was excellent. I would highly recommend using Karine for a walking tour of Florence whether it is your first visit to Florence or your fifth.
Karine was wonderful!!! You could tell she loved Florence and her knowledge was A+. I had been to Florence twice before and Karine taught me and showed our group parts of Florence I have never seen. This was the first tour that I did in Florence and glad that I did it with Karine. She was easy going and did exactly what she said she was going to do - enough information but not too much (I appreciated this as I had not slept due to an early morning arrival in Rome that day). I really wanted to see some of the highlights of Florence and get a lay of the land, which is exactly what I got. Karine was great!!
