Hi and welcome to Florence! My name is Silvia and I've been working as a professional Tour Guide...
Itinerary not perfect? Message Silvia P. to build a tour that’s just right for you.
We'll start at the Academy Gallery, home of the original David. In the museum, you'll admire the breathtaking statue made by Michelangelo in 1501 from every perspective and you'll learn also about the other famously unfinished Prigioni and San Matteo. We'll head to the Duomo complex, composed of Giotto's bell tower, the Cathedral Santa Maria del Fiore with its stunning dome, and the octagonal-shaped Baptistery. Afterward, we will walk to Piazza della Repubblica, where the Roman Forum was, and continuing along via dei Calzaiuoli we'll arrive in Piazza della Signoria, the political headquarters of the city. So many things to admire there: with the imposing beauty of Palazzo Vecchio and the ancient statues still present in the square the Piazza is a real open-air museum! We'll reach then the Uffizi Gallery, a definite must-see when visiting Florence.
We will visit: • Academy Gallery (inside - including David and other 5 statues made by Michelangelo ) • Duomo complex with the Cathedral Santa Maria del Fiore and the Baptistery (outside) • Piazza della Repubblica • Piazza della Signoria with Palazzo Vecchio (outside) • The Uffizi Gallery (inside - including Halls of Botticelli, Leonardo, Michelangelo and Raphael) NOTE: Uffizi and Accademia are closed on Monday. This tour can be customized due to your preference, otherwise, it's to be considered as follows: 1H in the Accademia, 1H30 city tour as described and 1H30 in the Uffizi Gallery. The itinerary could be on the reverse according to Accademia/Uffizi time slot tickets Please write me if there are people with mobility problems and if you use or need a wheelchair, the itinerary will be different. Please remember to bring your passport, the ticket is NOMINAL and you must show your ID (passport photo on your phone works). In high season there may be some queues, even with skip-the-line tickets.
