Nikki is very knowledgeable and provided a great overview of the city. I recommend it for anytime in your visit, but ideally for the beginning. This would give a great idea of what you want to go and spend more time seeing.

Hello, I am Niki, a licensed Hungarian tour guide. Budapest, the heart-stealing capital of Hungary is my place of birth. I grew up and lived all my life here, except a school year in Coventry, U. K. where I improved my English. As a tour guide, I have 20 years of professional experience with travellers mainly from the U. S. A. , Canada, the U. K. , the Netherlands, Germany, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, India, Korea, and I hope YOU are going to be next! I have a strong passion for history, archeology and fine arts. I believe in lifelong learning to secure that the information I share with my travelers is always accurate and up-to-date. I always design my tours to be informative as well as inspiring and entertaining. My motto is: feel good and get more than expected! Come with me and travel like everyday residents of Budapest on the old underground or the legendary yellow trams. Let's discover the main tourist attractions and some hidden treasures of the city that only locals know. Listen to personal stories of life in a Central European capital which had long been hidden behind the iron curtain and is free now. If you stay longer, let's visit some of my favorite places outside Budapest. Lovely old palaces, charming little towns, picturesque landscape and a lot of interesting stories are waiting for you. All my tours are fully customized to your interests and flexible on the day(s) to take account of any special events taking place or the weather. With me, as your own private guide, you will have the time to fully experience everything, stopping to take the perfect photo or popping into one of the historical cafés, enjoy local delicacies or the shops we pass. Be my guest! My 4-hour city sightseeing tour intends to show Budapest's top tourist attractions to the first-time visitors very comfortably, in a private car/minivan. To make the tour more exciting, we do stops at the major sights for little walks and a more detailed explanation. And, of course, we want to secure the greatest photo opportunities. :) I feel lucky to be born and raised in Budapest, a gorgeous city, a real European treasure box. Join me and let me share my passion for the „Pearl of the Danube". I guarantee you will fall in love with this city at first sight!

Outstanding from start to finish. I first contacted Niki 5-6 months before our visit; her response was prompt, professional, and courteous. She helped me customize an itinerary that interested the various members of our group. On the day of the tour, traffic was very heavy from Vienna to Budapest so she was flexible and allowed me to move the tour back an hour. That was great! The tour itself: Niki has tremendous knowledge and passion about her birth city.
Thank you Nicki for an excellent glimpse of your beautiful city. We really appreciated your in depth knowledge of history and the smooth flow of your tour. You are a true professional. Thank you.
Despite the abysmal weather masking the city's sites, Niki and her driver still provided excellent tours of the Buda Castle Church, St Steven's Basilika and the Christmas markets.
Niki was a phenomenal tour guide! She had arranged for a driver and met us at our lodging right on time for this driving/walking tour. She was very personable and among the most knowledgeable tour guides we've ever had--not only about the sights but about the country in general. She ensured we saw the primary historic sites in Budapest (even though some of the normal routes were impassable due to flooding) as well as areas we likely would not have visited on our own but which were extremely interesting, such as Liberty Square by the U.S. Embassy. We cannot imagine having had a better tour guide than Niki.
This recommend is overdue! Nikki is THE BEST tour guide. She is a consummate professional, creating a customized tour to fit our family's needs (ages 9 - 80's), which is not easy to do. Not only is she incredibly nice and well-spoken, but but she is a precious resource and has a living history through which she can tell you, personally, about her family's stories of living through pivotal episodes in the history of the Hungary, from WWII, through communist times, and onto today. Grab her if you can!
