Nice to meet you! 😊 I am a licensed, local guide of BP, a passionate traveler and a huge fan of Budapest myself! I love discovering new places – immersing myself in the atmosphere of a city, admiring the small decorations of the buildings, trying out new dishes, finding out where coffee tastes the best... To this day, I still walk around Budapest with such an eye and a desire for adventure as if I were traveling. I love architecture, I find fine arts fascinating, and I am a big foodie! I have a special interest in Hungarian history (but I don't cite dates without reason, no worries!). On my tours I tell the most exciting historical detials and the connecion between history and current-day society, architecture and politics (because there is plenty!). I love sharing stories and fun facts that are exciting even for the Hungarians. (I have had Budapest born and raised people joining me – they enjoyed the walk as much as the travelers!) And even though on these walks the focus is obviously on Budapest and Hungarian culture, I am always happy to learn about your culture, history or just hear your travel stories to other amazing places! 😊 Hope to see you soon! 😊

Lively, multicultural trading town in the Middle Ages, strategically important spot in the siege of Budapest in WW2, a home to government offices and amazing museums, while people continuously living in its houses – the Buda castle area truly is a magical place! This tour takes you to the most exciting, most charming area of Budapest – to the Buda castle. It is also the part of Budapest, where history really comes alive – if only these centuries-old walls could talk! We will discover the rich history of the almost 800 years old Buda castle, its traces on the current buildings – but all in a fun, storytelling way! We will be focusing on the unique events, that happened here, the outstanding people that were present in the castle district and the architecture, that makes the Buda castle one of its kind. Oh, and there will be plenty of legends too! This walking tour takes you to both the major sights and the lesser known, quieter (but equally interesting, historic and gorgeous!) streets of the Buda Castle.
Please note that upon request pickup at hotel on the Pest side and arrival together to the Buda castle with taxi/bus OR meeting in the Buda castel but having a coffee break in the middle - both can be fit into the tour time-wise:) (but taxi, public transport or coffee is not included in the price) Also: evening tour is also possible (e.g. starting at 19.00/20.00) - the castle area is gorgeous in the evening lights:) In that case howeve pls contact me 2-3 days before the planned tour date Major sights along the way: * Bécsi kapu square * Hadik square * Sandor palace * Karmelita monastery * Royal palace * Matthias church
