Welcome to My Budapest! Budapest isn’t just a city I guide, it’s my home. I’m Andrea, a local, independent private guide, born and raised in this beautiful city. For nearly 30 years, I’ve been helping visitors discover the very best of Hungary. Along the way, I’ve worked with top hotels, business travelers, families, independent explorers, and government delegations, guiding Presidents, Prime Ministers, and diplomats in cooperation with the Hungarian State Department. I don’t believe in rushed sightseeing or scripted tours. I believe in stories, connections, and moments that stay with you long after you’ve returned home. Having lived abroad and studied in the United States at the University of Maryland, my approach blends deep local roots with an international understanding of what travelers truly value. Whether I’m guiding families, first-time visitors, or high-profile international guests, I share Jewish history and heritage with sensitivity, respect, and heart, creating experiences that are personal, thoughtful, and deeply meaningful. Every tour I create is tailored to you, your interests, your pace, and your curiosity. With the comfort of a private luxury Mercedes vehicle and the freedom to adapt along the way, you can simply relax and experience Budapest as it’s meant to be felt. If you’d like to discover Budapest, Hungary, with someone who truly cares, I’d love to welcome you. Let’s turn your visit into a lasting memory. Hidden treasures of Budapest? This is a big subject! I'm seeking out the hidden treasures Budapest all the time, and sometimes I come across a real find. Most of these are well-known by local people but they would be considered to be fairly well 'hidden' for the majority of tourists. There are a few places to which I like to take visitors of Budapest who have seen all the main sites and attractions. So, please join me in discovering these gems!
Begin the tour with stopping to see the beautiful Parliament building, also evoking the events of 1956 anti-communist revolution. - Then enjoy the representative architecture of Liberty Square and visit the nearby St. Stephens Basilica. - Afterwards continue to the Great Market Hall "Nagycsarnok", the largest indoor market in Budapest. - Afterwards stroll in the city park, visit the Vajdahunyad Castle. - Enjoy a pleasant treat at the famous Gundel Restaurant, the chocolaty Gundel crapes along with coffee and soft drinks. Please note the Great Market Hall is closed on Sundays. This tour is available for large and private groups as well. Please request for price quotation.
