Most of these are well-known by local people but they would be considered to be fairly well 'hidden' for the majority of tourists. There are a few places to which I like to take visitors of Budapest who have seen all the main sites and attractions. So, please join me in discovering these gems!

This was an outstanding tour, 5* plus, I would give more stars if I could. Not only was Andrea G totally knowledgeable, she was so entertaining, funny and charming. We knew immediately this would be a great tour and it was, she was also vert skilled in managing a group of women. She also introduced us to our driver, who was very nice. Again, a top notch experience

We had an insightful 4 hours with Andrea and Josef. Being Christmas Day, many of the popular attractions were closed, but Andrea skillfully planned an itinerary which provided the overview of Budapest that we were looking for, and provided context for important historical events. We saved a lot of time using a car, and Andrea provided a late model Mercedes which was in impeccable condition. Would not hesitate to recommend.

We toured amazing Budapest with Andrea and her driver Joseph yesterday, and we couldn't be happier. Andrea is absolutely the best! First, we were chauffered in a comfortable -passenger Mercedes. She shared her deep knowldge of her country's history and presented it clearly and with humor when appropriate. She showed us both Buda and Pest as we traversed the main bridges of the cities. We weren't limited to bygone days but she showed us popular culture. We saw monuments but also a fun pub. Terrific!

Andrea was very prompt and knowledgeable; however, we felt she was overpriced for the time she spent with us. The first day was a half day walking tour, but we only saw the Parliament Building, Liberty Square, and the Great Market Hall. The second day we were to see other sights in Budapest by car & driver. The highlight was the small Jewish market near the Synagogue. We drove to the country to see the summer palace of Franz Joseph. Spent most of our time at lunch. She dropped us off at the Opera.

Begin the tour with stopping to see the beautiful Parliament building, also evoking the events of 1956 anti-communist revolution. - Then enjoy the representative architecture of Liberty Square and visit the nearby St. Stephens Basilica. - Afterwards continue to the Great Market Hall "Nagycsarnok", the largest indoor market in Budapest. - Afterwards stroll in the city park, visit the Vajdahunyad Castle. - Enjoy a pleasant treat at the famous Gundel Restaurant, the chocolaty Gundel crapes along with coffee and soft drinks. Please note the Great Market Hall is closed on Sundays. This tour is available for large and private groups as well. Please request for price quotation.
