A military chieftain, so called Apor, camped by the Bükkös brook in 1009, later this become Szentendre. During the Ottoman rule only one family lived here, and in the 17th century Serbian immigrants repopulated the area. This is the city of 7 churches. Due to it' s beautiful natural landscape, many painters and artists found inspiration here, so it's full of galleries and museums. One of them is the Marczipaan museum, where we can take a selfie with Michael Jackson or Princess Diana. Unfortunately no bites are allowed. :D We will make an easy walk in between colorful houses, narrow mediterrain -look-alike streets and visit a wine museum where you can participate a wine tasting program of you wish.
- Half an hour drive from Budapest (time is subject of traffic conditions) - Bükkös Brook - 3D map of Szentendre - Szamos Marcipan Museum (we go inside) - I will show you the highlight of the main Street as well as hidden treasures. - We will take some pics at the prittiest small street of the city. - easy walk up on the "Donkey Hill" to the oldest church of the town from the 13th century. - we will visit the wine museum, where you can participate on a wine tasting, with 6 traditional Hungarian wines explained by a sommelier. This program is optional. - lunch at a local restaurant Know this tour can be customised
