Hi there, welcome to Budapest! My name is Magdalena, I was born and raised in Budapest and I've always been amazed by the beauty of my hometown. As a guide and a proud Budapest local, I'd like to share this feeling with you. My motto as a professional tour guide is "Enjoy the ride!" - rather than just listing dry facts I'd like to tell you stories. Stories of the past, present and of the people of Budapest. Having travelled around Europe and having lived in the USA, UK, Spain & Argentina I must say that Budapest is the perfect city for me. It is the combination of all you need: stunning architecture, rich history, unique spas, great restaurants & the coolest pubs, a lively nightlife and exciting cultural & arts landscape. I invite you to discover and "feel the city" with me - both walking and on two wheels! Tour Guiding Certificate, issued by the School of Commerce and Tourism (Kereskedelmi és Idegenforgalmi Továbbképző) BA degree in Tourism and Hotel Management, Budapest Business School, accredited by the Manchester Metropolitan University MA degree in International Relations/ Foreign Affairs major, Corvinus University of Budapest None

On this tour we combine some of the most stunning sights of downtown Pest with beautiful panoramic views - you will surely have the best photo opportunities if you join me! We visit several must-see attractions, including the St. Stephen's Basilica, the Parliament, the Liberty Square, the Andrássy Avenue and the State Opera House but we take the experience one step further by going on top of the Basilica and visiting the best rooftop bar in town. The Basilica Look Out is the highest spot in Pest where you can enjoy an unbeatable 360° panoramic view. This is a light walk, adjusted to your pace and with numerous opportunities for a coffee break. Also note that there is an elevator going up at both locations! During the walk you'll hear all the interesting stories about Hungarian history, culture and local life and I would be happy to orientate you and give you recommendations for the rest of your stay! If you would like to have a truly memorable and unique experience of Budapest, join me on this tour!
We'll first discover the lively Deák and Erzsébet squares, then we head to St. Stephen's Basilica. - - We'll not only see the Basilica inside, but we also visit the panorama terrace on top, which is a unique spot to have a panorama of Budapest. - Then we continue our walk through the green Liberty Square, where the statue of Ronald Reagen stands next to the last remaining communist monument in front of the U. S. Embassy. - We admire the Parliament building and learn interesting stories about the Hungarian history and politics. - Next up you'll see a special Hungarian secessionist building and we wander into a wonderfully covered market hall. - Afterwards, we'll walk along the world famous Andrássy Avenue, - check out the State Opera House and - Nagymező Street (the Broadway of Budapest) on our way. - Finally, we arrive at the 360 Rooftop Bar, which is a great place to have a coffee or drink! I can customize the tour to fit your preferences!
