Open Air Museum and Szentendre with a Traditional Lunch

What an exceptional tour! We did not go to the open air museum as Beata worked with us to customize a tour. We met Beata and Josef, our driver, two days earlier for a night tour of Budapest. We enjoyed that tour immensely and felt like we were traveling with friends when they picked us up at our hotel. We headed to the beautiful town of Szentendre which is on the Danube. We saw the city, shopped and had a wonderful Hungarian lunch. Don’t miss the Marzipan museum! It was a totally unexpected fun treat. We then went to Margaret Island which we wanted to see for the gardens. Talk about going above and beyond! Josef and Beata rented a pedal cab and did all the pedaling so we could better see the park as walking for long distances is difficult. We ended this delightful day at the Central Market Hall where we sampled local foods and got gifts to take home. Thanks Beata and Josef.

Excellent day today with Beata. She is so knowledgeable and willing to share so much information. Our driver Frank was terrific taking us along interesting routes. We had the right amount of time at the open air museum. The town of Szentendre was so quaint and amazing!!! We couldn’t have loved our lunch and wine cellar any more!!! We very much recommend this tour to get out of the city and see some of Hungary’s rural areas.

Beata led 3 different tours for our group of 8 and we had a fantastic experience. She showed us and told us about the history and culture of Hungary. She took us to a variety of her favorite places in Budapest so we got a real feel for the city as well as tastes of local delicacies. Beata is a very pleasant and fun person to be with and I highly recommend her tours.
