The universities arcades display a pantheon of famous Hungarians, while the bellplay with figurines reminds us the passing times and all people lived here. On this university worked Katalin Kariko, inventor of COVID vaccine and Albert Szentgyorgyi who first found vitamin C in the paprika. Bothn got Nobel-priza. The dowrown is packed wirh beautiful palaces, some of them built is secessionist style. Charming streets call fowr a walk- The synagogue is one of the oldest if Hungary. * As Szeged lies on Hun gary's second largest river, Tisza, do not miss neither the famous fishermen"s soup!
