I was born in Budapest in 1967 and I have always lived in this beautiful city. Qualified in 1993, I work as a full-time professional tour guide in the Hungarian capital. Out of showing the most beautiful sights and monuments, I would like to present our culture, traditions and everyday life in my way: brought to life with many personal stories and memories. My main profile is organizing walking tours in Budapest, e. g. : a comprehensive WORLD HERITAGE TOUR and shorter walks to explore the good old Buda Castle, the hidden treasures of the City Park or the dramatic sites of FAITH, COMMUNIST DICTATORSHIP and THE 1956 NATIONAL REVOLUTION. My main hobbies are studying about arts and history, as well as organizing tours, excursions and club activities for tour guides in Budapest as a member of the national tour guide association. It is an other story: I am also a member of the Hungarian Vegan association. Licensed guide in English and Italian, national certification in 1993. Graduated in art history. My tours are only by walking and using public transportation. While I'm not a driver, I can arrange private car/van for you if needed.

This tour is planned for those who are familiar with the conventional and overcrowded touristy sights of the city or who want to skip them in order to explore its more extraordinary or off-the-beaten-path hidden gems. Traveling by car, you will get an impression of the whole urban territory where locals live their everyday lives far from the eyes of average tourists. You will see thousands of years of prehistory and natural beauties unknown for foreigners. My suggested itinerary covers the less known sights of Buda: the Roman archeology museum of Aquincum and Old Buda's historical main square where you will understand how Budapest looked before it became a metropolis in the late 1900's. Among other hidden beauties, you can see the Philisophers' Garden, or the 500-year-old Gul Baba Turbe, an Ottoman shrine and the only Muslim pilgrimage place of the city. Finally you will end up at Gellert Hill to venture into the Rock Church caves, and to the Art Nouveau style entrance hall of Gellert Bath.
Thanks to having a comfortable vehicle you will cover a much larger area than the city center: - Go to Obuda and visit the 2000 year-old Roman ruins in Aquincum Museum - Stop at the Main Square of Obuda to experience the atmosphere of its village-like atmosphere - Drive back to the center and have an other stop either at Gul Baba's Turbe, or if that attraction is closed at the Philisophers' Garden - Visit the Art Nouveau style entrance hall of Gellert Bath - Explore the mysterious Rock Church in the caves of Gellert Hill My tour is totally flexible and can be customized according to your individual interest. Please inform me about your plans and we can create a personally tailored off-the-beaten-track exploration of Budapest and its surroundings, including its archeological sites, natural beauties, caves, parks and forests. Please wear appropriate clothes (no sleeveless tops, short skirts or shorts) when visiting religious sights.
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
We will use a modern, clean and air-conditioned minivan.
