Excellent! Outstanding! Adam is a brilliant highly educated guide. The wealth of knowledge and story telling about Budapest and Hungary’s history blew my mind. His tour was enthralling beyond words. Eight hours was not enough time.

I was born in Budapest in 1967 and I have always lived in this beautiful city. Qualified in 1993, I work as a full-time professional tour guide in the Hungarian capital. Out of showing the most beautiful sights and monuments, I would like to present our culture, traditions and everyday life in my way: brought to life with many personal stories and memories. My main profile is organizing walking tours in Budapest, e. g. : a comprehensive WORLD HERITAGE TOUR and shorter walks to explore the good old Buda Castle, the hidden treasures of the City Park or the dramatic sites of FAITH, COMMUNIST DICTATORSHIP and THE 1956 NATIONAL REVOLUTION. My main hobbies are studying about arts and history, as well as organizing tours, excursions and club activities for tour guides in Budapest as a member of the national tour guide association. It is an other story: I am also a member of the Hungarian Vegan association. Licensed guide in English and Italian, national certification in 1993. Graduated in art history. My tours are only by walking and using public transportation. While I'm not a driver, I can arrange private car/van for you if needed.

On this general one-day tour we will visit all famous sights and monuments of Budapest while delving into its local culture. As I was born and have always lived in this city, I can share with you my personal stories, out of the „obligatory" sightseeing legends. My tour can be a good introduction to Hungary, ideal also for first time visitors. During the tour you can enjoy the best places to take photos. You can admire the scenic heritage of the Austro-Hungarian Empire as well as a glimpse of Hungarian Art Nouveau architecture. I can also show you many shocking, hidden or funny aspects from a local view. You can recall the brutal Nazi and Communist regimes, and the events of the 1956 national revolution. You can see religious shrines including the oldest human hand of the world. You can also find a statue of Count Dracula whose story was connected to our city park island castle. During the tour you can learn your Hungarian survival dictionary and experience a local lunch in a place visited by locals.

Adam has an encyclopedic knowledge of everything in the city and is passionate about sharing his knowledge. He has an in-depth understanding of history and truly cares about sharing it.
We had an awesome and educational tour of Budapest with Adam Botta. Adam is very professional as well as very informative with all aspects of Budapest life, culture and monuments. Thank you so much Adam for spending with us 8 hours of your precious time to show us how beautiful your city is. My wife and I really had a great and exciting time. Will definitely recommend you to our friends and collegues. Our warmest regards to you and until next time...
Good tour. Adam showed us things we would not see alone. It was very hot and we felt a little judged as brits abroad when we wanted a beer. When we wanted to end tour early due to the heat Adam dragged out the summing up. He is a good knowledgeable guide but not the best at reading people.
Adam was truly an amazing guide!! We learned so much about so many contributions the Hungarian people have made to the world, their gentle, open, and accepting society, as well as seeing so many sights in their beautiful city of Budapest. Adam shared many of the experiences in his and his family's life here, which allowed us to better understand the rich history of the Hungarian people. I would highly recommend him for a fantastic, thorough, and extremely enjoyable introduction to Budapest!!!
Adam is a professional guide, full of positive energy. He has so much information to share! We spent a full day with Adam and he never stopped talking but in such an easy, understandable, and personable kind of way. We took plenty of rests and he made sure we had had a true Hungarian experience. We learned so much and didn't even notice how the day came to an end and we had to let Adam go. Thank you Adam for an amazing day! We hope to see you again soon! (We did drop the coin in the water ;-))
