The best start of the tour is Memento Park, where I show you all the all the famed statues of the communist era - which were not melted in - , including: the "Stalin's boots", a funny relique, the iconic car, Trabant. Some short movies and photo exhibition recall the era's terror, and gives an overview of the dark 50's in Hungary. - We stop at Corvin-köz, the place witnessed the hardest fights between invading Russian troops and Hungarians during the Uprise of 1956. The place is famous for the statue dedicated to children between 12 and 16, who desperately and heroically defended their homeland's freedom and sacrificed even their lifes for it.- You can visit the newly opened Budapest Retro Museum, or travel on the Children's Railway.
