Hi! Welcome to my site! I am a professional, registered tour guide with a passion for my country especially Budapest and the Danube Bend. I was born and raised in Budapest, our capital city and now I live in Nagymaros, a small quiet town located in the Danube Bend just opposite Visegrád. And of course I consider myself very lucky 'cause I feel at home in Budapest just as much as in the Danube Bend. I am also extremely lucky and proud to have gained firsthand knowledge from historians and archeologists through my many years of studies. And I'm here to share it all with you but beware: my passion can be contagious. :) There's so much to see and do in Budapest and in the Danube Bend so I've put together a list of tours offering the best of every city. Buda and Pest have so much to offer it's hard to know where to begin. Even if you only plan to spend a couple of days in Hungary there are sights that shouldn't be missed eg. the Buda Castle District one of the most beautiful and romantic parts of the city with famous sights like the Matthias Church or the Fishermen's Bastion. But if you have more time I'd suggest visiting the countryside: the Danube Bend is less than an hour away from Budapest & it's one of Hungary's most frequently visited regions blessed with breathtaking scenery and fabulous architecture of different historical eras. Szentendre and Visegrád offer hours of fascination for visitors curious about the country's rich medieval history, castles, palaces and churches not to mention the fine restaurants, handmade crafts and art. There are so many stories and so much to see that I can't wait to show it all to you! :) Check out my tours and don't forget that all of them can be altered to suit your needs and interests. My -very much loved - job is to make your day special so join me on a trip to remember! :) I am a professional tour guide, registered by the Hungarian Trade Licensing Office. I also have the license to guide in the History Museum, Budapest Dohany Street Synagogue Rumbach Synagogue and the Basilica of Esztergom.

Overview of your Budapest tour

The history of Jewish people in Buda goes back to the medieval times, but in Pest it only starts at the end of the 18th century. They had Europe's largest synagogue built but why were two more synagogues built really close to this one? I'll tell you about the economic upturn of Pest, the Golden Age of Budapest, the devastation and revitalization of the Jewish quarter. Visit the remaining part of the ghetto wall and get to know the heroes who had the courage to stay human in inhuman times. I'll tell you about the German and also the Soviet occupation so you can get the full picture of these dark times.

Your Budapest tour itinerary

Please let me know if you'd like to enter the synagogues, you'll find the details below. Please choose as many as you like from the following options: Option 1: Entry to the Dohány Street Synagogue - closed on Saturdays Option 2: Entry to the Rumbach Synagogue - open only on Sundays Option 3: Entry to the Kazinczy Synagogue - closed on Saturdays (Appropriate clothing must be worn in the synagogues: men must wear a hat or cap, sleeveless tops, short skirts, shorts are not allowed. ) At the end of the tour I'll accompany you back to your hotel.
