Hi! Welcome to my site! I am a professional, registered tour guide with a passion for my country especially Budapest and the Danube Bend. I was born and raised in Budapest, our capital city, and I'd love to show you the city I know - not just the famous sights, but the hidden corners, fascinating stories, local traditions, and little details that most visitors simply pass by. I am extremely lucky and proud to have gained first-hand knowledge from historians and archaeologists through my many years of studies. And I'm here to share it all with you but beware: my passion can be contagious. :) My private tours are for curious travellers who want to experience more than the average tourist. Along the way I'll share stories giving you a glimpse into the city beyond what you'll find in a guidebook. And if you have more time I'd suggest visiting our beautiful countryside: Szentendre is less than an hour away from Budapest & it's one of Hungary's most frequently visited town's by the River Danube. Everybody loves this little town, its colourful houses, cobblestone streets and hidden alleys, not to mention the fine restaurants, handmade crafts and art and its many churches. The history of Jewish people in Buda goes back to the medieval times, but in Pest it only starts at the end of the 18th century. They had Europe's largest synagogue built but why were two more synagogues built really close to this one? I'll tell you about the economic upturn of Pest, the Golden Age of Budapest, the devastation and revitalization of the Jewish quarter. Visit the remaining part of the ghetto wall and get to know the heroes who had the courage to stay human in inhuman times. I'll tell you about the German and also the Soviet occupation so you can get the full picture of these dark times.
coordination was easy with Rita. She was professional and prepared. Besides showing us the standard tourist attractions, we saw sites that matched our interests and not available to everyone. We enjoyed our tour with Rita very much. She has extensive knowledge of Budapest and Hungary and we learned a lot by listening to her narrative and asking many questions. She was very punctual (actually early) as to our start time and helped us negotiate the public transit system in Budapest making it quite easy to cover a lot of ground in our 4 hours. We prefer to use local guides when possible as it allows us to tailor the tour to our needs and cover the places we want to see. Highly recommended.

We had a great time with Rita.. She put up with 8 of us and took us all around Budapest. We went to the top of St. Stephens cathedral, traveled by bus and the underground. We went to the terror museum and learned a great deal about Hungry behind the Iron curtain.. She is very knowledgeable and did a terrific job
