Historic and Cultural Driving Tour of Budapest

Rashad is SO knowledgeable and personable. I love his sense of humor. He is very high energy. Bring water and questions, he loves them. He is very passionate and proud about his country and the amazing food and people. We loved the food and people we met. The sights and history were great. We packed a lot in....He was so gracious with our requests and even showed us what a ruin bar was ( we are 2 grandmothers and have to admit, this was weird in Budapest) We saw the remnants of Communism around our hotel and party culture in the Jewish quarter and it was very odd, I didnt like it. We are so blessed as Americans. Rashad answered all of our questions about all of the history and regime changes, holocaust, etc. We visited the historic Dohany synagogue. We tried chimney cake, yum. We loved ghoulsash. The fisherman's bastion and heroes square were amazing and the churches! Wow! Highly recommend Rashad! He is great with local recommendations also!

Rashad is an amazing guide and we can’t recommend him highly enough. We booked him for our first day in Budapest and he covered all the important sites. But more importantly he did so with a deep understanding of his country and city’s history, such that every site was brought to life and put in the perspective of the time it was built and concurrent events. I realize guides are expected to know these facts, but Rashad is a student of history and therefore takes it to a higher level. But don’t fear, he will not bore you. He can talk about solid history or give anecdotes, whichever is your preferred style or interest. His experience as a guide shone through, and we had a terrific day with him. Over the course of our holiday/vacation, we booked 6 different tours, and he was at the top.

We booked Rashad for two half day tours in Budapest. We could not have been happier with the experience. Rashad was friendly, informative and flexible about tailoring the tours to our requests. He has a strong background in Hungarian history and was able to help us understand both what happened and why for each site we visited. He also made many great suggestions for how we could spend our free time or where to eat and what to try. While on the tours we shared stories about travel and families. At the end of the tours we felt like we had made a new friend.

What an amazing afternoon! This tour followed two provided by our river cruise company. Rashad listened closely to what we had already seen in Budapest and then tailored the tour to pack as much of what we hadn’t seen Into this tour. He proved to be a charming and knowledgeable guide. Highly recommend this tour and guide.
