Hi there, welcome to Budapest! My name is Magdalena, I was born and raised in Budapest and I've always been amazed by the beauty of my hometown. As a guide and a proud Budapest local, I'd like to share this feeling with you. My motto as a professional tour guide is "Enjoy the ride!" - rather than just listing dry facts I'd like to tell you stories. Stories of the past, present and of the people of Budapest. Having travelled around Europe and having lived in the USA, UK, Spain & Argentina I must say that Budapest is the perfect city for me. It is the combination of all you need: stunning architecture, rich history, unique spas, great restaurants & the coolest pubs, a lively nightlife and exciting cultural & arts landscape. I invite you to discover and "feel the city" with me - both walking and on two wheels! Tour Guiding Certificate, issued by the School of Commerce and Tourism (Kereskedelmi és Idegenforgalmi Továbbképző) BA degree in Tourism and Hotel Management, Budapest Business School, accredited by the Manchester Metropolitan University MA degree in International Relations/ Foreign Affairs major, Corvinus University of Budapest None

Join me on this walk in the heart of the city center and I will give you an overall orentation of Budapest! During this walk we visit some of the major tourist attractions, and as a passionate local I'd like to introduce you to the Hungarian culture and to the local life in Budapest. All of that in fun walk, where we set out to discover some of the most stunning sights downtown Pest - and crossing to Buda we adore the Castle district and amazing views! The aim of this walk is to help you get the most out of your stay and have a memorable experience. I can give you all the recommendations you may need and answer all of your questions regarding local specialties, the spas, museums, shopping, cafes and nightlife.
During this 2.5 hour tour we cover quite many beautiful Unesco World Heritage sights! This tour has a planned itinerary to see the most in a short time, if you would like to have a more flexible schedule I would recommend my Best of Budapest tour or a custom itinerary! We would see the following: - Discover the Vörösmarty Square - See the Concert Hall of Pest - Walk on the Danube Promenade and enjoy great views of the Buda side - See the St. Stephen's Basilica - Cross to Buda on the Chain Bridge - Visit the Castle district - Royal Palace - Mathias Church - Fishermen’s Bastion - See the Parliament from uphill The tour usually terminates on the Buda side but I can escort you back to your hotel if needed!
