Hidden Gems of Budapest

The tour title was Hidden Gems of Budapest, but a better title would have been Adam Marot IS a Hidden Gem of Budapest. A totally unexpected, all-encompassing tour of not only Budapest, but also of Hungarian culture. Adam shared numerous life experiences of living in and around Budapest that just can't be found in any guidebook. Filled with many humorous anecdotes, we were hanging on his every word. Professional, considerate, detail-oriented best describe this EXCEPTIONAL guide. The entire time we felt like we were visiting an old friend who was excited to show us around his city (Buda and Pest). We took away many fond memories of that afternoon, but nothing more meaningful than having spent 4 hours with a stranger who, when we parted ways, made us feel like we were good friends. If you truly want to experience Budapest, Adam is your guide. Hands down, he's simply THE BEST !!!

It was so easy spending the morning with Adam. I suppose we put him at a bit of a disadvantage because we already had plans to see all the major sites the following day through our AMA river cruise. Adam made some suggestions to find out our interest and off we went It was like visiting the city with a friend. This tour was one of the highlights of our trip. Thank you, Adam.

Adam was WONDERFUL. He was easy to communicate with--during the tour and prior to the tour. We took his Hidden Gems tour and we absolutely loved it. We really did feel like a local and often, we were the only tourists around. He gave a great overview of the history of Budapest. He was very receptive to things we wanted to see--or places we wanted to investigate. He gave us a glimpse into the culture of the city. Adam provided an energetic and highly informed tour for fourof us on our first full day in Budapest, as we hit the hidden gems of Buda and Pest by foot and subway. Not only is he a student of Hungarian history and culture, but he is an outstanding student of people as well, as took our measure and sensed our interests and where we might find the most enjoyment along the way. Adam's Hidden Gem Tour was wonderful! He met us promptly at our hotel and took us to some fascinating out-of-the-way sights. We had already been on an overview tour by our cruise company and this gave us much more depth into the life of Budapest. His knowledge of the history of Budapest is excellent and he was able to impart that to us. My family enjoyed his excellent English, his sense of humor, and his ease of discussing the difficult topics of the recent Communist past of Hungary. Great tour!!
