Dear Traveller, Welcome to my profile and greetings from the heart of Budapest! I’m Ádám, a licensed local guide with a background in art history, architecture, and cultural heritage. I was born and raised in Budapest, and after spending some time living abroad, I returned with fresh eyes and a deep appreciation for the beauty, complexity, and charm of my hometown. Since 2021, I’ve been leading tours that uncover the many layers of Budapest, from its grand boulevards and iconic landmarks to hidden courtyards and overlooked gems. My goal is to help you connect with the city’s stories, not just its sights, so that you can have a more personal, engaging, and memorable experience. I hold a BA in Art History, and I’m currently completing my MA in Cultural Heritage Studies. I’ve also worked with some of the top local tour guide companies, such as Imagine Budapest, Hosszúlépés, and KÉK (Contemporary Architecture Centre), which has given me a unique insight into the city’s historical and modern life. Whether you're curious about architecture, urban history, Jewish heritage, public art, or want to explore Budapest off the beaten path, I’d be more than happy to create a tour tailored just for you. Let me know your interests, and together we’ll design a custom experience that suits your pace and preferences. Highlights: Licensed Hungarian Tour Guide Certified for guiding in the Dohány Street Synagogue and Rumbach Street Synagogue BA in Art History MA in Cultural Heritage Studies (ongoing) All tours are fully customizable Please note: I do not provide driving services.

Join me on a half-day walking tour through the heart of Budapest, where we will uncover the rich culture and history of the former Jewish district and its many sites. This tour offers a chance to explore one of Budapest’s most vibrant areas, filled with stunning architecture, hidden gems, art galleries and niche bars. Like many locals, I spend much of my free time here—whether starting a night out with friends, visiting the synagogues to learn more about the local Jewish culture, or enjoying an art show. As a soon-to-be heritage expert and a former Jewish community builder, I’m eager to share my passion and excitement for this historical part of my city, and I invite you to build your own connection to it as well!
We can meet at your hotel or accommodation if it's located in the city centre. Otherwise, we’ll start at Deák Ferenc tér as our meeting point. The tour includes a coffee break. Our route will be the following: -Madách tér -Dohányi Street Synagogue (visit is possible upon request) -Rumbach Street Synagogue (visit is possible upon request) -Kazinczy Street Synagogue -Klauzál tér -Ghetto Wall Memorial -Hungarian Music Academy -Art galleries depending on shows and openings The tour will end: -Szimpla Garden (ruin bar)
