Welcome and hello my dear future guests! My name is Dóra, a licensed tour guide in Budapest since 2016. I've dedicated my time to guide people from all around the world, which means thousands of satisfied guests:) I was born and raised in Budapest, which gave the basis of a perfect beginning of a beautiful friendship between the city and me. We have a quite old relationship we've changed together, we know each other, this way I could become a really eyewitness of the change of Budapest from the previous system to the present one. Coming to Budapest? Great! I LOVE Budapest and it's time to share it with you I believe that we can connect to each other through the culture. So let me share my love, my culture, my knowledge and my enthusiasm with you. I'll guide you through my city, uncovering its excited history and showing you its well-known, as well as hidden treasures. I believe in the story telling tours, but if you need dry facts as a fan of history I can provide it to you also. I think that the present and the future can not be understandable without knowing the past. I am sensitiv to people's needs and emotions, I can read the room, therefore I'm able to provide you an unique and personalised experience. Because sightseeing is an experience, a feeling, that can make your holiday. Whether you are looking for a real understanding of the history and culture of Budapest, or if you just looking for the special spots in the city, everything is possible. I'm full of stories and fun facts and the corners of the streets just greet me:) I'm going to show you how and where it all began. Feel free to get in touch and let's work out how to make the most of your time! It's my job and my passion to show you the wonders of Budapest so that you go home with precious memories and the feeling that you wanna come back! Just let me know and I will create a tailor-made tour for you, according to your interests and wishes. Now, I'm inviting you for a trip to BUDAPEST to admire all faces of my city through the different historical sights, buildings, streets. Therefore I'm here to give you the opportunity to see this city or the country with me. But just let my tours speak instead of me! See you soon! Join me on a journey to the enchanting town of Szentendre, the gateway to the Danube Bend, just a short distance from Budapest in Pest County. This fairytale-like town is known for its riverside setting, cobblestone streets, and vibrant atmosphere of galleries, cafés, and restaurants. Often called the “City of Arts,” it has long been home to generations of Hungarian artists, whose creative spirit is still present today. This is not a strictly museum-focused tour, but an immersive walk through the town itself. We explore at a relaxed pace, wandering Baroque streets, admiring architecture, colours, and hidden corners, and enjoying Szentendre as a living town rather than a checklist of sights. Museum visits can be included upon request. My personal favourite is the Micro Wonder Museum, but other exhibitions are also possible. Entrance fees are not included. During our walk, we uncover the stories and charm of Szentendre. Let me guide you through an unforgettable experience.
I will pick you up from your hotel or a mutually agreed location. -We begin our journey to Szentendre, enjoying its most beautiful panorama from Donkey Hill. -From there, we continue to Church Hill. -We then recharge with one of the most iconic local street foods, lángos. -Afterwards, we visit the Belgrade Cathedral and explore the charming Old Town, with its picturesque buildings and small artisan and folk shops. -We also stop at the Szamos Marzipan Museum and Confectionery for a short visit and a sweet tasting experience. -Finally, we walk along the Danube bank, and weather permitting, we take a relaxing break in one of the town’s hidden garden spots. This is a flexible itinerary; all my tours are customizable. After a day full of experiences, I will take you back to your hotel.
