Hi! Welcome to my site! I am a professional, registered tour guide with a passion for my country especially Budapest and the Danube Bend. I was born and raised in Budapest, our capital city and now I live in Nagymaros, a small quiet town located in the Danube Bend just opposite Visegrád. And of course I consider myself very lucky 'cause I feel at home in Budapest just as much as in the Danube Bend. I am also extremely lucky and proud to have gained firsthand knowledge from historians and archeologists through my many years of studies. And I'm here to share it all with you but beware: my passion can be contagious. :) There's so much to see and do in Budapest and in the Danube Bend so I've put together a list of tours offering the best of every city. Buda and Pest have so much to offer it's hard to know where to begin. Even if you only plan to spend a couple of days in Hungary there are sights that shouldn't be missed eg. the Buda Castle District one of the most beautiful and romantic parts of the city with famous sights like the Matthias Church or the Fishermen's Bastion. But if you have more time I'd suggest visiting the countryside: the Danube Bend is less than an hour away from Budapest & it's one of Hungary's most frequently visited regions blessed with breathtaking scenery and fabulous architecture of different historical eras. Szentendre and Visegrád offer hours of fascination for visitors curious about the country's rich medieval history, castles, palaces and churches not to mention the fine restaurants, handmade crafts and art. There are so many stories and so much to see that I can't wait to show it all to you! :) Check out my tours and don't forget that all of them can be altered to suit your needs and interests. My -very much loved - job is to make your day special so join me on a trip to remember! :) I am a professional tour guide, registered by the Hungarian Trade Licensing Office. I also have the license to guide in the History Museum, Budapest Dohany Street Synagogue Rumbach Synagogue and the Basilica of Esztergom.

Szentendre is the perfect choice if you want to leave the city behind and explore the countryside. This charming little town - famous for its colourful houses, many churches and cellars - is located by the River Danube. It is well-known for its many museums, galleries, handmade products - pottery and embroidery - representing rich cultural and religious traditions. For wine lovers there's also a Wine Museum located in a 650 sq. meter cellar, the perfect place to taste wine from different regions of Hungary. Discover our history as we walk along the cobbled streets, how Szentendre became the center of Serbian Orthodox religion and how in the 1920s it became an artistic center. Marvel the sculptures of Princess Diana and Michael Jackson made of marzipan in the famous Marzipan Museum, a haven for those with a sweet tooth. Have a pleasant stroll by the River Danube, try lángos, a traditional Hungarian dough, and enjoy the Mediterranean atmosphere of this charming town that steals everyone's heart.

Thank you Rita for introducing us to the lovely town of Szentendre. Taking public transportation from Budapest to Szentendre and back was the best way to go for our group of 10. Your insight and knowledge of the area and stories made if interesting and personal. Your lunch recommendation was good and we all enjoyed shopping. Thank you again!
Rita took care of everything, even buying tickets ahead of time. She was knowledgeable, interesting to talk to, and very flexible in accommodating out interests. I would take any tour she offered because she is the best I ever had.
Rita was spectacular!! Very nice, personable, very knowledgeable of the history and geography. We felt like we were locals when we were with her. Showed us stuff that was off the beaten path that was very enriching. Rita was on time with all the travel tickets we would need so no wasting time in any lines. What more can we say ? If we ever come back to Budapest we will absolutely be contacting her to be our guide. And if we lived in Budapest , I am sure that she would be one of our close friends.

We'll take the suburban train to & back from Szentendre which takes about 40 minutes. You'll love the fabulous handmade creations of the Marzipan Museum where you can even have a taste of this delicacy. Visit the oldest church in Szentendre and also one of Hungary's largest Serbian Orthodox churches. Apart from the usual souvenir shops there're many arts and crafts shops where you can pick up beautiful local handmade products to take home. Enjoy a relaxed coffee at one of the many outdoor cafes or have lunch at one of the great local restaurants. Please let me know in advance if you'd like wine tasting so I can book it for you. In the summer season we can go back to the city by boat, which is on its own a pleasant journey and gives you the opportunity to enjoy not only a unique view of Szentendre as we leave but also the sights of Budapest as we enter on the River Danube. If you choose this option please note that the boat leaves at 5pm so pls book the tour starting time accordingly.
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
