I was born in Budapest in 1967 and I have always lived in this beautiful city. Qualified in 1993, I work as a full-time professional tour guide in the Hungarian capital. Out of showing the most beautiful sights and monuments, I would like to present our culture, traditions and everyday life in my way: brought to life with many personal stories and memories. My main profile is organizing walking tours in Budapest, e. g. : a comprehensive WORLD HERITAGE TOUR and shorter walks to explore the good old Buda Castle, the hidden treasures of the City Park or the dramatic sites of FAITH, COMMUNIST DICTATORSHIP and THE 1956 NATIONAL REVOLUTION. My main hobbies are studying about arts and history, as well as organizing tours, excursions and club activities for tour guides in Budapest as a member of the national tour guide association. It is an other story: I am also a member of the Hungarian Vegan association. Licensed guide in English and Italian, national certification in 1993. Graduated in art history. My tours are only by walking and using public transportation. While I'm not a driver, I can arrange private car/van for you if needed.

Explore with me the most spectacular sights and the less known treasures of central Budapest. I will share with you my love for the city where I have always lived and my passion for local arts and history. I will show monuments from the Roman Age to modern times, including buildings full of arts like St. Stephen's Basilica, the 3rd biggest Catholic church of the world when built. You will explore dramatic memories of the Nazi and Communist regimes when walking towards the Parliament accross the two largest squares of the center. You will hear touching stories of "blood and freedom", and see sites of faith, resistance and the 1956 revolution. I will share with you my personal stories during Communism when I was in school. I tailored this half day tour even for those who want something more than just hearing about facts and viewing touristy sights. My tour is also ideal for families with small children, for wheelchair users who cannot cope with stairs on other tours, or for elderly people who walk slow.

We enjoyed the tour, thanks Adam.
Adam is a genial, expert guide with a special interest in archaeology. He toured with me on foot for four hours without a break, including pushing my husband in a wheelchair for 90 minutes. His tour includes a full range of sites, from Roman ruins to contemporary locales, such as the fascinating Museum of Communism, where he introduced me to a favorite candy of his youth. He also knows the best strudel shop in Pest!
Adam is a very nice, kind & enthusiastic tour guide. We certainly enjoyed our time with him and instantly felt we could be friends for life. Husband required a wheelchair for this tour. He arranged one for us at our hotel. Then he pushed it practically the whole way so I could enjoy the walking tour and not be exhausted. We are an older couple. Adam was willing to take us anywhere we wanted to visit and tried very hard to give us great service. He was very knowledgeable - college degree in history.
Our 1/2 day tour with Adam was amazing! Adam is very passionate. Our group of 4 totally enjoyed listening and learning the history of Budapest and Hungary through the many 1st person and family accounts he told us of. Among our many stops, we visited the Jewish Synagogue where he recounted the horrors of the Holocaust. Not far from there, we visited an AMAZING "ruins" bar and learned how these so-called bars came into being. He answered all of our questions. 5 STARS!!!!!!
Awesome tour!!! Most knowledgeable!
The itinerary covers a large part of the old town of Pest. Pest Inner Town: - Start at the market hall and walk along the historical shopping street and the Danube bank - See 2000-year old Roman ruins - Go to Deak ter (Deak Square), see the Lutheran Church and the statue of a priest who saved children during the Holocaust Leopold Town: - Walk to St. Stephen Basilica (optional skip-the-line inner visit, accessible with wheelchair) - Visit Szabadsag ter (Freedom Squre) with the Miracolous Fountain (in use from spring to autumn) and the last Soviet Communist memorial - Hear about the Communist dictatorship and how Hungarians fought in the 1956 national uprising - Finish at the Parliament, walk around it and explore memorials of crucial historical events - As an optional end of the tour you can see the "Shoes on the Danube" monument of WW2 Jewish martyrs I am also flexible to change anything in the above itinerary. During the tour you can have a coffee stop and taste the best strudel of the city.
