Hi there, welcome to Budapest! My name is Magdalena, I was born and raised in Budapest and I've always been amazed by the beauty of my hometown. As a guide and a proud Budapest local, I'd like to share this feeling with you. My motto as a professional tour guide is "Enjoy the ride!" - rather than just listing dry facts I'd like to tell you stories. Stories of the past, present and of the people of Budapest. Having travelled around Europe and having lived in the USA, UK, Spain & Argentina I must say that Budapest is the perfect city for me. It is the combination of all you need: stunning architecture, rich history, unique spas, great restaurants & the coolest pubs, a lively nightlife and exciting cultural & arts landscape. I invite you to discover and "feel the city" with me - both walking and on two wheels! Tour Guiding Certificate, issued by the School of Commerce and Tourism (Kereskedelmi és Idegenforgalmi Továbbképző) BA degree in Tourism and Hotel Management, Budapest Business School, accredited by the Manchester Metropolitan University MA degree in International Relations/ Foreign Affairs major, Corvinus University of Budapest None

Visiting Szentendre is the best day trip you can do from Budapest! The lovely old town with cobble stone streets, art galleries and great artisan shops are favorite of locals and travelers alike. Nestled on the little hills by the Danube its narrow streets have a special, Mediterranean vibe with nice restaurants offering outdoor terraces. It is a truly romantic and memorable place! I love to combine this trip with a visit to the famous Szentendre Skanzen, which is a huge open air museum - practically we are talking about entire villages built up in a huge land. Often the original old countryside houses were transported here stone by stone. So you would have the chance to experience countryside life and traditions, marvel at the different architectural styles, basically travel the country in one day :) If you want to make the most out of your stay in Hungary, join me on this adventure! In case there would be more people on the tour contact me for a quote!
- Pick up at your hotel/cruise port or other agreed location - Drive to Szentendre (30-45 minutes) - Visit to the Skanzen Open Air Museum, we usually spend here 2-2.5 hours - Discovering downtown Szentendre - Lunch break - I have some good suggestions, if you leave it up to me I can make a reservation (my favorite spot is the Café Christine restaurant , their food is amazing) - Shopping opportunities, or just wondering around and learning some interesting stories of Szentendre - Returning to Budapest

Transportation is by a nice Hyundai Santa Fe. It is a spacious vehicle with a large rooftop window. If you have more people in your group let me know and I can get a quote for a minivan!
