Hi there, welcome to Budapest! My name is Magdalena, I was born and raised in Budapest and I've always been amazed by the beauty of my hometown. As a guide and a proud Budapest local, I'd like to share this feeling with you. My motto as a professional tour guide is "Enjoy the ride!" - rather than just listing dry facts I'd like to tell you stories. Stories of the past, present and of the people of Budapest. Having travelled around Europe and having lived in the USA, UK, Spain & Argentina I must say that Budapest is the perfect city for me. It is the combination of all you need: stunning architecture, rich history, unique spas, great restaurants & the coolest pubs, a lively nightlife and exciting cultural & arts landscape. I invite you to discover and "feel the city" with me - both walking and on two wheels! Tour Guiding Certificate, issued by the School of Commerce and Tourism (Kereskedelmi és Idegenforgalmi Továbbképző) BA degree in Tourism and Hotel Management, Budapest Business School, accredited by the Manchester Metropolitan University MA degree in International Relations/ Foreign Affairs major, Corvinus University of Budapest None

Hungarians are very proud of their local wine production and we have some truly amazing wines. Did you know that one of our UNESCO World Heritage sights is actually a wine region called Tokaj, where the most famous Hungarian wine, the Aszú is made? In this relatively small country there are 22 different wine regions with different characteristics, soil and grape types which results in a wide variety of wines: white, rosé, red, dry or sweet - you name it, we have it! Let me be your guide during this special experience and I will help you find your personal favourite! In this tour we would discover two charming wine bars, the first one on the Pest side than crossing over on the Chain bridge another one on the Buda side, trying six carefully selected wine specialties alongside some tasty cheese bites. Besides tasting great wines we would also visit some iconic sights of Budapest. Of course I will share with you about our unique culture, traditions and local life.
- Meeting at an agreed location - Starting in Pest at the downtown Divino Wine bar, tasting of three different wine specialties - A light walk to our next destination, on the way we would see the following attractions: - St. Stephen's Basilica - Gresham Palace - Hungarian Academy of Sciences - Chain Bridge - Buda Hill Funicular and Tunnel, view of Buda Castle - Second wine bar, Andante Borpatika on the Buda side by the river Danube - If you wish to buy some wines I can show you one of the best shops that is just nearby - At the end of the tour I can take you back to your hotel or agreed location This tour is flexible and can be customized to fit your preferences
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
