We really enjoyed this tour with Valeria. It was a lot of walking (for us), but Budapest was amazing.

Hi there, my name is Valeria (Valerie) and Welcome to Budapest! Discover this vibrant city with a native local. Having been born and raised here I had the chance to live on both sides of our capital Buda and Pest and I know all the "nooks and crannies" of this city. I have always liked being surrounded by foreigners and meeting people from different cultures and ages. Tour guiding and travelling are my passions. It was a great opportunity for me to live in Wales, United Kingdom for a year. I used to be an English speaking kindergarten teacher so I get on well with children, too. As a professional tour guide I have been showing travellers from all over the world around my hometown since 2016. I also have the license to guide in the largest synagogue in Europe. Let me invite you to explore the diversity of Budapest in an informative and entertaining way: rich history, funny stories, gorgeous architecture, delicious food and beverages, cool ruinbars, vivid nightlife, spa culture and paprika :) If you are up for the adventure please do not hesitate to contact me to personalize the tour for you. Come join me to see the highlights and to discover some of the hidden gems of Budapest. Starting our walking tour on the emblematic Heroes' Square on Pest we are heading to the hilly Buda side to the Castle District. Let me show you the capital of Hungary that has more than 1000 years of history. As I was born in the last years of the communist era I have been an eyewitness of turning Budapest into a vivid multicultural city. What is it like today? I can tell you about the past you can experience the present. Fun facts? Learning about locals' lifestyle or architecture? Taking the oldest subway line of continental Europe? Best photo locations? Check! Giving you advice on my favorite places to eat to get the best Hungarian souvenirs or where to stroll along like a local is also part of our tour. Would you like to spend more time in Pest and take a quick circuit to the Jewish District or to the Parliament? Or would you prefer to discover some hidden treasures of the Royal area in Buda instead? Let me know.

We had a great tour and overview of Budapest and the complex history of Buda, Pest and the great human divides. Valeria was flexible, knowledgeable and an excellent guide as we navigated around the city and also helped us with some translations for grocery shopping! Would not hesitate to recommend Valeria to others! Many thanks.
Valeria is awesome. The tour was informative and interesting. Valeria knows Budapest well and is an expert in Hungarian culture, politics and history. From Heroes Square all the way to Buda Castle, we spent 3.5 hours seeing all of the major sites and learning a lot about Budapest. We highly recommend Valeria.
Valeria was an excellent guide. Her English is impeccable and she was patient and nice. We enjoyed walking the city with her and she showed us how to use the train. We felt ready to see a lot more on our own with confidence after we parted ways. I highly recommend a walking tour with Valeria!
Valeria was a great guide who gave a great tour. She was flexible about changing the tour's start time due to inclement weather which allowed for a nicer (and drier) experience. She was knowledgeable about both the present city and it's history. We enjoyed her pleasant manner and she was great about individualising the tour for our group. We recommend her highly.
