In this 5-hour-long tour I will take you through the centre of Budapest showing you a great number of must-see attractions of the Hungarian capital. We will see the miraculous building of the Hungarian Parliament, amazing 19th-century-palaces and tenements from the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy’s era, all the great monuments of Andrássy Avenue and two unparalleled buildings of Budapest: the Hungarian State Opera and St Stephen's Basilica. I will show you Heroes' Square with its great statues and museums and we will also get a taste from the buzzling life of Budapest on Grand Boulevard. I will tell you how Budapest became a new, modern capital of Europe by the end of the 19th century, how the life of the Budapest citizens changed owing to the economic and cultural boom and why Budapest hosted more than 300 coffee houses in 1900. We will even pass by one of the original coffee houses! At the end of the tour I will sing you some of the most beautiful Hungarian folk songs to let you have a taste of Hungarian culture.
