I come from the Hungarian paprika and salami region of Szeged, where I grew up in a cooking obsessed family, and learned how to cook at an early age. Food was (and still is) an important topic among us. My passion for food and hotels led me to get a degree now in hotel and restaurant management. I am also a certified cook and a tour guide. I have spent some time living in the USA and Argentina, where I loved to introduce the Hungarian cuisine to my foreign friends. Over the past 15 years I have immersed myself in several topics about Budapest: art, architecture, design, gastronomy, and really enjoy showing people the constantly changing faces of the city. Besides guiding, I manage an apartment for tourists in Budapest. My spare time is full of cooking for family and friends, shopping markets, trying the culinary delights of Budapest and other countries I am visiting, and learning about food! Being a passionate traveller and a culinary enthusiast I would be happy to share my love for food and discoveries with you. - I am a certified guide, and a certified cook - I have a Bachelor's degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management - I only guide in English, and Hungarian. - I only offer walking food tours. - I am not a driver guide, please arrange transportation to the meeting points, if needed.

Experience Budapest and it's rich and vibrant culinary tradition full of unique food and drinks. This exciting walking tour provides a taste of what the Hungarian people like to eat and drink. I will be introducing the milestones of the Hungarian history, in the perspective of the gastronomy. We start the tasting as Hungarians do: with the local spirits. The walk continues in the Great Market Hall, with this emblematic building, "the church of food". Cured meats will be offered in the market hall, and local cheeses in a nearby, cozy cheese shop. Hungary is known for the land of meaty, heart-warming dishes, alongside with the great wines. I will bring you to a historical café, and a modern restaurant, both the old and the new; trendy places will offer their hospitality and great dishes and wines. The homeland of gulyas, stews, and delicious pasta dishes will show the best of all. The lunch tour cannot end without tasting a traditional and a new cake in a trendy cake shop, and a choice of coffee in a café.

Nora was amazing. We went to hidden gems and learned beautiful history as well as modern facts and way of life. She customized for our likes. We will definitely enjoy her services again. Lovely
This tour is amazing. Learning the Hungarian culture through food, wine & history was the best way to understand. Nora is knowledgeable in food, culture & history. It was a great day in Budapest & I highly recommend Nora & this tour!
Nora had organized quite the tour for us! We started with breakfast and typical drinks and ended with beautiful, delicous cakes. In between we toured the market, learned about the old section of Budapest, and had a delicious lunch. We were a group of four "senior citizens" from the US, and we thoroughly enjoyed this tour.
You simply must take this tour when you visit Budapest. My wife and I were a little concerned about a 4 hour walking tour but it turned out not to be a problem (we're in our 70's). There are several stops with a chance to sit down at each one and something to eat too. We learned some Hungarian history and a little about what its people are most proud of. One bit of advice: don't eat a big breakfast and don't be afraid to try the Unicum and Palinka.
This is a suggested itinerary: - You will taste some delicious Hungarian food and drink products, at the great market hall and independent locally owned venues, all recommended by locals. - You will experience Budapest from a different view. - You will be introduced to the history of the Hungarian cuisine. - You will have all alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, food, our suggestions on hot spots, and a surprise sweet treat included in the price - You will interact with our local personal guide who is happy to share her passion for food. If you have other preferences, please let me know and I will customize the tour.
