"Discovery consists of looking at the same thing as everyone else and thinking something different. " Albert Szent-Györgyi* Hello! Just a little bit about me: When I was a child I wanted to be an adventuress exploring interesting and beautiful places, or even strange new worlds. I dreamed of being an architect unearthing hidden artefacts and forgotten treasures and finding answers to all the questions of humanity. When I grew up I found a whole new sense of discovery, the sharing of ideas, history, values, meaning, perspectives, the ways in which people from all over the world connect and yet are seemingly very different because of where they are from. Travel has always given me new ways of seeing things filling me with a buzz of inspiration. When I meet new people and guide them around my fascinating city or beyond, I want them to relate to the experience, get an understanding of what the place is about and what the people are really like. My hope is that by the time they leave I'll have helped make the place feel a little less 'foreign' to them. Whatever brings you to Hungary, I would be happy to be your guide, and help you make the most of your time. Over two days we will visit the highlights of Buda and Pest in a very relaxed manner. Our comfortable car and excellent driver will accompany us. Together we’ll explore both distintive parts of our historical capital and I can show you the best places for taking photos. I will also give you adviceabout what to see, do and try during your stay in Budapest. Discover the elegant, green andmysterious Buda and the lively, colorful and always vibrant Pest.
This is the plan for the two days: - Fishermen's Bastion - Matthias Church, which is as lovely inside as it is beautiful outside. - If you like, we can visit the Hospital in the Rock or the First World War Exhibition. Both are fascinating and disquieting at the same time. - We can climb even higher to take in a stunning panoramic view of the whole city from the foot of the Liberty Statue. - The Church in the Rock is our last port of call before lunch in a cosy local restaurant or a fast food bar (your choice) - The Danube to the Pest side via the elegantly constructed Chain Bridge Pest side - Visit the Central Market Hall Jewish quarter (optional) - Heroes' Square - Saint Stephen's Basilica - The architecturally delightful Parliament.
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
