Nuremberg Tour - Day-Trip from Munich

Nuremberg is one of Germany's most beautiful and important cities, with the Imperial Castle on a sandstone hill, an intact medieval fortification, and a lovely, picturesque old town. As it is only a 1. 5-hour drive from Munich, this makes it the perfect day trip, with plenty of time to enjoy the city's flair, discover the highlights and focus on things you find of particular interest. Besides several medieval emperors, Germany's most famous painter, Albrecht Dürer, also lived here and you can visit his home and workshop. Before World War II, the Nazis held their annual party rallies in Nuremberg's outskirts. The grounds they designed for that are an optional stop on a private day tour, as well as the "Memorium Nuremberg Trials" where the Nazi-leaders were sentenced after the war. Today Nuremberg is a lively modern city with a historic ambience, and with many things to do and see. I have put together an itinerary for a beautiful and informative day tour. . .

- I pick you up at your hotel or wherever you want to start the tour in Munich - After a 1. 5-hour drive, passing by the Hallertau hops growing area, Ingolstadt (Audi-City), and crossing the Danube River, we arrive in Nuremberg - Stop at the former Nazi Party Rally Grounds, optional visit of the Documentation Center - We park the car in the city center and start a guided walking tour (approx. 1 h) through Nuremberg's historic town, then up the little hill. - To the Imperial Palace with a great view over the city - Lunch break in a restaurant or at a bratwurst stall.
