Hi, my name is Paul. Born in Alsace, I started my professional life in the luxury hotel industry in northern Europe, where I met the biggest international stars in the 90’s. Arriving at Sauternes & Barsac in 1997, I discovered the world of wine while I worked in commerce as an accountant, trader & wine seller. I also worked a lot in the Wine Trade Union which made me meet the vast majority of Bordeaux wine worlds’ actors. I live in a house surrounded by vineyards in Sauternes, between small family estates. Graduated in tourism and wine trade, I open doors for travellers, which are usually closed to most people, thanks to my acquaintances network. It is always a great pleasure to welcome people from far away to discover my region and do everything in my power to commemorate a unique moment. Curious and enthusiastic, I love to exchange with people and share the incredible universe surrounding me. My first experiences sharing it were at the request of my friends. From there, my desire to become a guide was born. To seek, to find and provide joy. My approach is simple and friendly, based on meeting people in and around the wine world. Venture into it with me to also meet these passionate experts in vineyards, cellars and even culinary venues to share private and unique moments together! I consider myself a great epicurean in the sense that I take advantage of every single day to live my passions around friends, wine and music (I am a drummer in 2 pop & rock cover bands)! I'll put all my energy to adapt my tours to your desires. Besides the inherent joy in living my passion, my reward is the return of my guests saying that they loved my proposals. I even stay in touch with most of them, which is great reaffirmation to my way of working. All my tours are private, unique and customizable. Just come over, I’ll take care of everything!

Want a getaway to the great outdoors, just one hour from Bordeaux? In Arachon, the change of scenery is absolute and the atmosphere is incredible. Allow me to take you for a walk on the highest sand dune in Europe! Strolling around the Arcachon basin is like flying in a dream. The Pilat sand dune, the "Banc d'Arguin", the old winter city, the "Tchanquées" huts, the "Mouleau" district with its 19th century victorian villas, the fishermen’s huts, the oysters, the sunset... So many places and reasons to come for a full day in Arcachon! But beyond the sand and the bricks, we'll actually get to go sailing across the bay in a "Pinasse", a historic local boat, stopping in a fishermen hut at "Le Canon" to taste oysters (with shrimp, pâtés, white wine, etc.)!
·The tour will start with a departure from your lodging in Bourdeaux in A e-suv Tesla Y. ·An hour later, we'll find ourselves climbing the Dune du Pilat (hard staircase) to reach stunning sea views to walk alongside. ·A bit over an hour later, we'd go on a short drive across the winter city, towards Arachon's Mouleau district, known as "the local place to be". ·Next, we'd board a mini-cruise on the basin to discover the Tchanquées Huts & the island of birds. ·Later docking at the Arcachon Harbour, we'll step off to a fishing village to tasting oysters & white wine. ·Our tour could then end at Tifens' place (atypical, not a touristy place) around an excellent dessert & coffee or leave for a wonderful sunset dinner (+additional fees )(the most beautiful of the Gironde). Let me know your preference and we can define it together! ·At last, I'll drop you off at your lodging.
