Overview of your Bordeaux tour
We will visit one prominent Bordeaux Chateau (Médoc) from their vineyards to their vat area, down to the cellars where wines are stored, followed by a tasting of the 3 tier wines. During our drive there, I will introduce you to the history of Bordeaux wine, from the Romans who first planted the vineyards here, to the Middle Ages when Bordeaux wines became very popular in England, from the global wine trade of the 17th century, all about the famous Classification of 1855 when Bordeaux rose to international fame and fortune. You will understand how Bordeaux gained the prominence it still enjoys today. The Médoc chateau will be based on availability and your preferences. After the visit we will have opportunity to lunch in the region, and after lunch I will drive you back to your hotel or another convenient spot in Bordeaux easily accessible by car.

- I will provide transport for up to 3 people - we will meet in the city center. If your hotel is conveniently located, I will be pleased to collect you directly. - we will drive to a prestigious Médoc chateau - on the way there, I will explain all you need to know about winemaking and Bordeaux's wine history - we will visit one chateau from the vineyards, to their vat area, down to the cellars where wines are stored - the visit is followed by a tasting of the 3 tier wines - after the visit, there is opportunity to lunch in the region - After lunch, I will drive us back to Bordeaux
