Bordeaux Sauternes' Vineyards - Private E-bike Tour

Sauternes is a wine region where time has stood still for more than 2 centuries. Its unique wines cross over decades to tell their story. It presents an array of great châteaux classified in 1855 including the only 1st grand Cru Superior : Château d'Yquem. With 5 villages (Sauternes-Barsac-Bommes-Fargues & Preignac) it's one of the smallest & most famous Bordeaux AOC (controlled designation of origin). On this tour, you'll discover it by E-bike riding through its vineyards & chateaux, along the banks of the Ciron river meeting the enthusiastics winemakers. With the visit of a 1st grand cru classé and a small family estate where you'll have lunch with the owner for a intimate moment of sharing) you'll learn the keys to understand the magic adventure of botrytis cinerea. This unique mushroom that gives birth to the most incredible sweet wine on earth: Le Sauternes! In this all-inclusive tour, there aren't any bad surprise with added fees : Everything is included.

-We'll start with a morning pickup from your accommodation to then go on a 45 min drive to Sauternes in electric SUV. -On arrival we'll enjoy a welcoming café & croissant, followed by a presentation of Sauternes's vineyards and hopping on our e-bikes. -We'll continue with a private visit of a "premier grand cru classé" and a tasting of 4 wines. This will be a great moment for exchanging thoughts about the differents types of the locals wines. -We'll continue our bike ride through the rows of vines and along the ciron river to the little quiet village of Barsac, set along the Garonna river. -We'l then share lunch and taste the wines with the owner of a family estate, followed by a short visit. I bet this unique intimate moment will be the highlight of your day. -We'll ride back to Sauternes along all the famous châteaux like Coutet, Climens, Doisy Daene, Suduiraut, Yquem, Guiraud, La tour Blanche and more, from Barsacs'vineyards back to Sauternes. -Finally we'll return our bikes and drive back.
