Dear future explorers, history buffs, and food and wine lovers, I can’t wait to meet you and share my lovely city of Bordeaux! My name is Clémence. Originally from Normandy, I’ve been adopted by Bordeaux—not once, not twice, but three times! I’ve proudly called this vibrant city home for several years now. As a passionate traveler and storyteller, I became a licensed guide, and for over three years, I’ve been sharing my love for Bordeaux, its history, and its flavors with visitors from around the world. Whether you explore the historic city center of Bordeaux, the medieval heritage of Saint-Émilion, or delve into Bordeaux’s wine-growing traditions, each tour will be uniquely designed and customized to create moments of meaningful exchange and discovery. What is my philosophy and inspiration during my tours? 🍃 Taking the time to marvel at beauty In today’s fast-paced world, I believe that taking the time to appreciate the beauty around us has become an act of resistance. That’s why my tours move at your own pace, allowing you to dive deeply into the history, culture, and people of the region. As a slow traveler myself (walking and hiking are among my greatest joys!), I love taking the time to truly understand the places I pass through. This is the spirit I bring to my tours. 🌍 Connecting with people and cultures Having traveled extensively (a few years in South America and time living in Spain), I cherish connecting with people from diverse backgrounds, exchanging stories, and embracing the richness of cultures. This passion is at the heart of why I became a guide. During my tours, I aim to foster that same sense of connection by introducing you to local, passionate people. 🍷 Savoring Bordeaux through wine and food Bordeaux is a city to be savored, and tasting its wine and food is an essential part of the experience! I also believe it’s crucial to do our part in preserving the planet, which is why I make a point of selecting local and organic producers whenever possible. To sum up, if the words history, wonder, taking the time, sharing, warmth, transparency, connection, laughter, delighting the taste buds, local products, organic and biodynamic, sustainable development, and living like a local resonate with you, we are destined to meet. I’ll bring Bordeaux and the region to life, and above all, we’ll create unforgettable memories together. See you soon! Clémence

Follow me through the charming cobblestone streets of the old town to discover more than 2,000 years of history. From the Romans to the Middle Ages, the 18th century, and Bordeaux as we know it today, I will guide you and show you how the city has evolved over the centuries. A 3-hour tour is the perfect format to dive into the history at your own pace, while still allowing time to stop for a coffee or simply soak in the city’s atmosphere. And along the way, to give you a bit of extra energy when needed, we’ll enjoy some of the best canelés around! I recommend booking this tour with me at the beginning of your stay so you can get your bearings and make the most of the rest of your journey. I’ll also make sure you leave the tour with a full list of fantastic places to experience Bordeaux’s art de vivre.
