Discover the capital of the happiest country in the world with me! My name is Nadia and I am an authorized Helsinki Tour Guide, and Helsinkian by choice. I’ve been living in the city since 2009, and over the years I’ve had the privilege of welcoming guests from all walks of life and from many different cultures. I bring together a trained historian’s eye and years of guiding experience to every tour. I specialize in making Finland’s past and present easy to understand and engaging for everyone. Thanks to my solid knowledge of global history, I help visitors see how Finland fits into wider world events—translating local history into a story that feels familiar and relevant, no matter where you come from. Not a history fan? Don't worry! Having taught history to teenagers, I know it's not everyone's cup of tea and I'll make sure you enjoy your tour! Guests often tell me they appreciate my warm, approachable style and the way I connect with people of all ages and cultures. I design each tour around your interests—whether it’s history, architecture, design, or everyday Finnish life—making sure you leave with both knowledge and memorable experiences. And if you don’t see a tour that perfectly fits your needs among my offers, I’ll be happy to create a personalized one just for you. If you are looking for a culturally aware, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic guide who can open up the story of Helsinki in an accessible and personal way, I would be delighted to show you around. Experience Helsinki's architectural evolution — from neoclassical streets to modern Nordic design — including exclusive access to the Central Railway Station clock tower and another beautiful panoramic rooftop. This curated walk reveals Helsinki through its stylistic layers. Begin in the neoclassical heart of the city, discover Art Nouveau façades, and glide through evolving districts aboard a panoramic tramway ride. Along the way, explore how the city's identity took shape through imperial planning and national romantic influences. The journey takes you to the clock tower of Helsinki Central Railway Station, designed by Eliel Saarinen. Closed for over 70 years and reopened in 2025, it offers a rare, elevated perspective over the city's architectural history. As one of only eight authorized guides, I provide direct access to the tower as part of a seamless experience. This tour is offered on Sundays but I can always try to make it happen in other days!
-Meeting at Helsinki Central Railway Station, Eliel Saarinen's masterpiece, with exclusive access to the Clock Tower, reopened in 2025 after over 70 years. -Walk to Katajanokka, exploring Art Nouveau (Jugendstil) façades and harbor architecture. -Cross to Market Square via the Presidential Palace and Old Market Hall. - Take the tram through Ullanlinna and Eira, with elegant Art Nouveau streets and seaside views. - Pass by Punavuori, the Bulevard and once again, contemplate the city from above while having coffee or tea.
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
The tour combines walking and public transport Please note: the Clocktower does not have a lift, and visiting it requires climbing 182 steps.
