Private Helsinki City Walking Tour and Sauna Experience

See all the major sights in a 4-hour walking tour! We will explore the Neoclassical center, where east meets west! We'll see the beautiful landmark of Helsinki Cathedral on The Senate Square and visit the vibrant Market Square, where we'll taste some Finnish delicatesses and feel the sea breeze on your face! We'll continue to Art Nouveau style Katajanokka, the former district of sailors, down-and-outs and smugglers and hear compelling stories from the past! We'll also visit the magnificent Uspenski Cathedral. Later -after lunch- we'll continue our tour to the Temppeliaukio Rock Church, one of the most popular tourist attractions in Helsinki, see the modern center and the new Oodi library! To finish off the day you will have the opportunity to experience the traditional Finnish sauna like a local! This is an optional part of the tour and can be left out! Along the way, you will hear stories about Helsinki and Finnish culture. You will have my undivided attention for 4 hours! Welcome to my Helsinki!

Start from your hotel, port or the airport See the Senate Square area and the Helsinki Cathedral Walk through the open air market and visit the Old Market Hall (maybe a stop for coffee) Have a look at the shops on the Esplanade See Uspenski Cathedral, the biggest Orthodox cathedral in Scandinavia (closed on Mondays) See the icebreakers (in summer) and a former prison in Katajanokka -now a hotel Visit the Rock Church Continue to the Parliament House, Finlandia Hall, Contemporary Museum of Art, Oodi Library (we will go inside) and Central Railway Station, Chapel of Silence Some free time for shopping/ optional sauna experience We will have a lunch break based on your request. The tour may always be customized according to your wishes and interests. The tour includes walking and traveling by tram which is the local way to travel and very convenient! Remember comfortable shoes!
