Arja and Timo were funny, kind, thoughtful, delightful, inventive hosts for my 2.5-day visit to Helsinki. They went above and beyond to ensure that we saw the right sites at the right time, escaped the tour crowds, got to linger at the right places, and sample the many culinary delights of Finland. Timo was an incredibly informative nature guide (I learned a ton about how to analyze animal poo and mushrooms). Arja was a fantastic "sauna mama," in addition to being such an expert on architecture and history. I had an unforgettable experience!

This 6.5 hour tour of the highlights of Helsinki provided and extensive and intensive introduction to this beautiful city as well as a visit to the former fortress on Suomenlinna, which is most definitely worth the time it takes to visit. We were extremely fortunate to have the guiding services of the extraordinarily knowledgeable, articulate and enthusiastic Arya as well as her partner Timo, also a very experienced and capable guide in his own rote whom she brought along as our driver. The two of them provide complimentary approaches and interests, so it was really like having two tours in one. We highly recommend our tour with Arja and Timo. We could not ask for more knowledgeable guides and such fun also. We were treated to a comfortable drive and the kind effort to ensure that we didn't walk far in the rain. The rain did NOT dampen our spirits and we embraced feeling like locals. We loved learning how well engineered Helsinki is to provide it's citizens with a rich cultural and education foundation. We greatly enjoyed a taste of local food with such lovely companions who ensured that we had a great day and left Helsinki wanting to return.

Amazing tour of Helsinki and Sueomenlinna with Arja and her husband Timo! They were so kind and taught us so much. Great review of history/architecture/art and a wonderful lunch at the old market hall. It was so nice with the cold weather and being in a warm van with an excellent driver like Timo. We were able to see many sights and get out easily for a more detailed visit when needed. Can't recommend them highly enough! Thank you!
