Jewish Heritage Helsinki tour

This tour will take you to the Jewish heritage in Helsinki. We will discover the traces of the history of the Jewish population in Finland and their origins, visit the synagogue and other places of interest. During this 5-hour tour you will also get an overview of the capital and we will visit the Market Square, Senate Square, Grand Cathedral and the Church in the rock among other sites. Helsinki is full of fascinating architecture and you will get to know the neo-classical district and the Art Nouveau quarters. Please note that the visits of the sites are subject to availability.

We will have a car or minivan for transportation during the whole tour. The Jewish congregation got its own synagogue in Helsinki in 1906 when Finland was still part of the Russian Empire as an Autonomic Grand Duchy of Finland. We will visit along the synagogue also other sites related to this interesting period is the Finnish history such as the Empire-style heart of the city with the Gran Cathedral, the Ortodox Church Uspenski and the Art Nouveau area. The tour includes also the following sites: the Esplanade Park, the Market Square and the Market Hall and the Design District. During the panoramic part will we take the Mannerheim Avenue to see the Parliament, National Museum, the Finlandia Hall (designed by the world-famous architect Alvar Aalto), National Opera, Olympic Stadium, Sibelius Monument and we will visit also the famous Rock Church.
