Private Shore Excursion tour to Porvoo Medieval Town and Helsinki

Timo was a delightful, knowledgeable tour guide. His love for his country was palpable. He made sure we saw all the important sites and helped us appreciate and understand what Helsinki is all about. And, he was a great storyteller with a fun personality…..he had us smiling a lot! I would highly recommend Timo. After a few dozen Toursbylocals tours, I’ve found that the tour is exponentially better if you communicate with your guide well in advance. Tell them about you and what your interests are. They do a great job of personalizing the tour just for you.

Timo was a terrific guide for our group of three couples. He was friendly, informative, patient with our endless questions, very knowledgeable, and responsive to our interests and concerns. We learned a lot about Poorvo and Helsinki, and Finland in general. He showed us some interesting places in Helsinki that weren’t on the standard itinerary, but that we really enjoyed. And, at the end of the day, he went above and beyond. After he left us, one of our party discovered that she’d lost her phone. We called Timo and he came back so that she could check his car for the phone. When she didn’t find it in his car, a call to the phone revealed that she had left it at one of our stops, and Timo drove her all the way back there to retrieve the phone. We highly recommend Timo!

Timo was fantastic! He picked us up on time, was very pleasant, very knowledgeable, and showed us some great sights in Porvoo and Helsinki. Its been our best tour of the trip!

Timo was excellent. He picked us up from the ship on time with a nice vehicle that fit all of us. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about the entire area. He showed us all around Helsinki including the rock church and the charming Town of Porvoo, where we were able to grab a bite and do some shopping. We had a great time and I would definitely recommend Timo!
