Hello! I am a tourism, culture and event management professional with a master's degree. I possess official tourist and wilderness guide certifications. I am a native Finnish citizen with a heritage of 50 % Sámi (indigenous people of Finland): I was born in Kuusamo, Northern Finland, but later I moved to Helsinki for work. I conduct tours in both areas! Besides travel, my interests are studying world histories, heritages, different cultures and arts, fauna and flora. Sports like swimming, slalom, walking, paddling, hiking and bicycling belong to my healthy lifestyle. In addition, I love to drive my museum car Buick Electra 1966 convertible and I am an active board member of the American car association. At the moment I work in the event production in cooperation with various local and international organizations. I am a professional driver as well. My strong background in customer service means that I always put my customers first: Their needs and expectations are the most important to me. My clients can rely on, that what has been agreed will happen and if any problems or questions will occur, my job is to resolve them. When it comes to tour planning or to your special event inquiry, do not hesitate to contact me if there are any issues. We will find the best solution regarding your available time and need! Let's have a view of the life style in Finland from the 17th to the 20th! The words of the Seurasaari museum founder Axel Olai Heikel: "If we see the soot-shining roofs of the wooden smokehouse placed in the forest environment and hanging pots in front of it's mighty stove, we also get a vivid picture of the environment in which the songs of the Kalevala are born". The history begins when the great collector Frithiof Antell (1847-1893) made his will to the people of Finland. After a while, Mr. Heikel opened the Finnish cultural history museum of Seurasaari in 1909 with co-operation of the Antell foundation and with the help of the Finnish architect Yrjö Blomsted and artist Akseli Gallen-Kallela. There are 87 buildings: smokehouses, mansions, sheds, a church, church boats and many other built objects. The oldest buildings are from the 17th century. Finally, we will visit at the magnificent Tamminiemi mansion where the presidents Ryti (1889–1956), Mannerheim (1867–1951) and Kekkonen (1900–1986) lived.
