Hello dear travelers, my name is Danny. I've worked about 6 years in travel agencies organizing tours around Ecuador and now I've been working for the past 7 years as a freelance guide. Besides its amazing landscapes, Quito is known for its treasures of colonial churches, paintings, sculptures, and carvings. Ecuador's capital is an intriguing mix of old and new; centuries-old colonial buildings huddled next to garish skyscrapers. For all its contradictions, Quito is blessed with a wealth of historic architecture and museums, vibrant nightlife, a popular and convenient tourist sector, a near-perfect climate, and one of the prettiest settings of any capital in the world.
We had a great time on our tour with Danny. Prior to the tour Danny was very open to customizing the tour so we were able to see exactly what we wanted. He was proactive in responding and answered all our questions. He was early at our tour meeting location and was very informative on the tour and was happy to answer all our questions. Would highly recommend him.

Danny N gave a great comprehensive Quito city tour. He was punctual, a good driver in the crowded old town section and gave great back ground stories for the many monuments. As advertised we hit all the major old town churches and government admin palaces plus the end of the tour trip up to the Winged Virgin. BTW his English was perfect.
Danny did a terrific job! Danny was extremely knowledgeable on all aspect of our tour of Quito, he was friendly, organized, and had very good English. Danny made our trip very special--the highlight of our trip!
Usually, start at 08h30 from your hotel, we all head to the historic center of the capital and the sites to visit are: * Basilica of the National Vote (view from outside) * Archbishop's Palace (view from outside) * Main Square * The Cathedral (view from outside) * City Hall (view from outside) * The Government Palace (view from outside) * Metropolitan Cultural Center (visit one of its courtyards and corridors) * The Sagrario Church * The Society of Jesus Church * San Francisco Church and Plaza * Chocolate tasting * Panecillo Hill (view of the city) After this visit, we will return to the hotel.
