Hi, I am Elizabeth I am from Quito - Ecuador in the Middle of the World, I am a local and national Tour Guide. Otavalo is Located in Imbabura Province, This place is Knowns like the lagoons Province, only two hours from Quito. It is one of the most important touristic destination in Ecuador, surrounded by mountains, lakes, rivers, streams and springs make this small city a paradise. Otavalo has a huge cultural wealth. The Otavaleños maintain their identities, reinforced by myths, legends, customs and traditions that go by generation and with me we will to go to the places where you can see what I am talking about. You will experience how and where indigenous weave their handicraft.
Our family greatly enjoyed our time with Elizabeth, seeing the bustling Otavalo market(go on a Saturday), a nearby area focused on leather, and a nice short hike to a waterfall. She was very patient, encouraging our family to enjoy a small zip line at the park containing the waterfall at the end of the long day. Highly recommend Elizabeth!
Elizabeth was fabulous, she brought out to Otavalo, where we were joined by an indigenous lady who shared her traditions with us and answered our questions. On the way out of town we stopped at a waterfall outside on the way to see a traditional weaver, where we were able to see indigenous weddings! We finished our day in the "leather town". We were able to comfortably leave bags in cars and she had great English and answers to all our questions!
Elizabeth is the best! Her demeanor is kind and friendly. As important, her knowledge and love for her country is exceptional. I would work with Elizabeth again -- any time, any day! She is a wonderful tour guide.
We had the most incredible day with Elizabeth and truly cannot recommend her enough. This experience showed us a side of Ecuador that you simply wouldn't see on a typical tour, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our entire trip. She curated such a thoughtful, authentic day that felt truly a once-in-a-lifetime, and we're so thankful for the experience she gave us and for all the wonderful people she introduced us to along the way. It deepened our appreciation for Ecuador in a way we'll never forget. We hope our paths cross again someday!
We had a wonderful day with Elizabeth on our tour of Otavalo Market, Cotacachi and Peguche. She was super knowledgeable, professional and fun- we had such a great time! Highly recommend her for any tour in Quito and will absolutely reach out to her again the next time I am back in Ecuador!
The our was very interesting and organized. One of the main reasons that we enjoyed the tour was the excellent guide and driver. Elizabeth is very knowledgeable, nice , and flexible.
I will pick you up from your hotel We continue driving around 2 hours from Quito to Otavalo. Our first stop will be in Mira Lago view point, from here we can take pictures of San Pablo Lake and Imbabura Volcano. After we will continue to Otavalo indigenous market where you can find handicrafts made in wood, sheep, llama, alpaca wool, silver, cotton, etc. The next point is Cotacachi, It is named "leather's Town" where we have the opportunity to have a lunch and visit differents leather shops. Finally, we come back to Quito. We will finish the tour at your hotel.
