The Magic of the Cloud Forest in "MINDO" Ecuador Private Tour

Giovanny was a superior guide for our Mindo Cloud Forest Tour. He was courteous, a good communicator, had excellent English skills, was a great driver and wonderful tour guide. He not only was prompt, but took us for nearly 11 hours (instead of the 8.5 scheduled). Very knowledgeable about the region with lots of info about the flora and fauna. It was also a pleasure to get to know Giovanny and learn about life in Ecuador during the drive. It made a huge difference to have the flexibility to see the sights at our own pace and tailor our trip as we wished. We saw the most exquisite hummingbirds that landed on our hands to eat! Beautiful butterflies, even a display of developing chrysalises and emerging butterflies. The cable car over the canyon was fun with a hike to a pretty waterfall. The chocolate tour was exceptional, complete with much tasting and chocolate face mask, too!

Giovanny is everything you would want in a guide! He is knowledgeable, friendly, and caring. He tailors the tour to your interests. A lot of history for Ecuador and Quito is shared which is fantastic! We would definitely have him be our guide again if we return!😊

Giovanny was the perfect guide for our day-long adventure into the Mindo cloud forest. It was a three-generation family and he knew exactly where to go to see hummingbirds and then butterflies, followed by ziplining, a great lunch and visit to a chocolate factory (that ended in optional chocolate face treatments!). It was a delight for the 7- and 9-year-old. Giovanny was highly flexible too. On the way, he was a walking depository of Ecuadoran history and culture, and provided advice on what else to see and do around Quito. He also procured a great driver and everything was reasonably priced. Highly recommend.

Giovanny Was fantastic. He customized our Mindo cloud forest to our preferences. We went to the hummingbirds, butterflies, orchids, then had lunch followed by the chocolate tour at a small scale chocolate producer. Our drive to and from the tour was interrupted by landslides on the highway. On the way home we had to take “the old road” back to Quito as the landslides had fully closed the road by then. This drive was scary next to sheer cliff drops but Giovanny was fantastic and navigated the route perfectly. Giovanny is very friendly and his English is excellent. He provided the perfect amount of information about the country, history, etc. His car was clean too.

Giovanny was great. Loved the tour. I struggled with the waterfall hike and he was very patient with me. Highly recommend.
