Mindo Cloud Forest Full Day Tour

My friend and I really enjoyed our private tour to the Mindo Cloud Forest with Elizabeth and her capable. driver. She was great with communication ahead of time, was knowledgeable about the birds and animals and ecosystems, and she was attentive to our specific interests. I’d definitely hire Elizabeth for another outing. It was a pleasure to spend the day with her.

Our group of 6 adults had a very interesting and wonderful tour with Elizabeth. She spoke very good English and was very knowledgable about her country. The van driver was also very good and the van was comfortable and roomy for our group of 6. We visited a butterfly farm, got to feed hummingbirds at a hummingbird sanctuary, had a interesting and yummy tour at a chocolate factory and a delicious lunch. We opted to go to an orchid garden instead of the waterfalls and cable car. Which we had found interesting and enjoyable. Overall I believe the tour exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend Elizabeth.

We had an excellent day out with Elisabeth. The tour was tailored to our interests and Elisabeth was very informative and a lovely person. The hummingbirds were a highlight. We highly recommend Elisabeth as a guide. She speaks good English and her passion for her country is evident.

Elizabeth did a great job on this tour. We did a couple of different ones with her while we were in Quito. She had a friend drive so that she could focus on guiding. We saw a lot of really interesting stuff. Only negative is that the road to the Cloud Forest is windy and narrow, and sometimes we had to go around slower vehicles, and it was a bit more excitement than we wanted. Overall, worth the time and the long drive. Recommended :)

This was a wonderful tour! The Hummingbird's eating right from you hand was such an amazing experience. So many and such a variety. The Butterfly habitat was also awesome. So many great experiences. Everyone was thrilled with the tour. Thank you for sharing this with us. I highly recommend Elizabeth for this tour.

This tour with Elizabeth was our second out of 4. An excellent guide who uses a separate driver, she showed us her extensive knowledge of the fauna and flora of the area. Mindo was fantastic for seeing and even feeding a wide variety of hummingbirds in a preserve, including several very unique ones we had hoped to see. We saw many types of live orchids and other flowers there, and visited a butterfly "farm" that included many varieties (one of which quickly decided that my lips, having residue from eating a banana, were worth a ride for 90pc of the time we were there), plus beautiful chrysalises and information about them. Elizabeth provided information about the area and flora and fauna, as I described in my review of our Quilatoa tour. An excellent guide who speaks English well, who is also quite friendly and personable.
