Overview of your Quito tour
Quito is the capital of Ecuador, located at an elevation of 2, 850 metres (9, 350 ft) above sea level, it has a pleasant climate with a temperature ranging between 9 and 20 degrees Celsius. Quito is known for having colonial treasures, in churches, convents and chapels you can admire baroque sculptures bathed in gold. We can also appreciate the architecture of the colonial houses with their balconies adorned with geraniums. With the cable car we reached 4, 100 meters. It is the best place to see almost the entire city. In the Middle of the World we can put a foot on each side of the equatorial line and perform experiments.

What an amazing day and what an amazing guide! JP always went at a pace that suited us. We saw some amazing things loved it all. From a walk around Quito Old Town to the Teleferiqo to the Mitad del Mundo to the Intinian Museum, everything was top notch! We cannot recommend JP highly enough.
Your Quito tour itinerary
Our first stop is Intiñan Museum in the Middle of the World, an interesting center of ethnographic, cosmological and astronomical interpretation of the area. In addition, a series of fun experiments reveal some of the terrestrial phenomena that causes being in full equinoctial line. Then, we go to "Ciudad Mitad del Mundo. " Its architecture is based on a typical sample of the colonial style and inside is the Equatorial Monument, perched on Latitude 0 º 0'0 ", where you may be in the two hemispheres at the same time. Our third stop is Quito's cable car, where we are going to climb to an altitude of 4100 meters of Cruz Loma area, where you can view a spectacular image of the city of Quito. Then, in the old town we continue to the Plaza de la Independencia in the streets of the colonial area, surrounded by the Cathedral, Presidential Palace, the Municipality and the Archbishop's Palace. We'll Visit the Church of the Society of Jesus and its wonderful golden interior.
