Overview of your Quito tour
"Mindo - Nambillo" is an ecological reserve, with approximately 22. 000 hectares of primary forest in most of its surface. Inside there is a natural complex of about 15 waterfalls, each one of them with a different height and beauty. As a local guide I grew up next to the forest and I love introduce you the experience of walking through the trees and also adventure sections over bridges which crosses several water streams that the moisture produces by hitting the moss and airplants that decorate all trees in forest. Loved our tour with Juan. He was very accommodating, spoke english well, easy to understand and open to adjusting the agenda as we went along. He gave us options along with the time between activities so we could decide what we wanted to do in the time we had. We did a lovely waterfall short hike and chose to forgo the longer hike to the larger waterfall. The highlight for our group of 6 was the bird and hummingbird garden. We also did the butterfly garden which I would recommend skipping. Not many butterflies and not much to see in the garden this time of year. Juan selected a wonderful outdoor restruant for our lunch stop. We also road the cable car and requested a little time at the end of the trip to do some shopping in Mindo.

Juan is an excellent guide. He was on time for the pickup and ready to go. He drove us to Mindo and gave me multiple options for activities to do. Juan is very knowledgeable on the history and flora in Ecuador and gave info on it as we went. If you want a guide for Mindo, I'd highly recommend Juan.

We had a great tour with Juan. Our tour included a waterfall, bird sanctuary where we were able to get some close encounters with hummingbirds, we did some zip-lining, and ended with a great local restaurant. He was knowledgeable about the local plants and animals and other really interesting information about Ecuador. There were 6 of us and Juan was very patient with us taking our time at each stop. We all had a great time.

Juan was an excellent guide for our day in the cloud forest. We went to the spectacular waterfall, saw Toucans, hummingbirds and an assortment of other birds and butterflies. This was topped off with a tour of how chocolate is made and a wonderful lunch with home made ginger ale. Juan facilitated everything and the day was very memorable. Thank you Juan.
Your Quito tour itinerary
Your guide will pick you up at 08h00 from your hotel in order to visit this fascinating reserve full of wildlife Once at 1. 900 meters, hummingbirds, air plants, orchids and other surprising exotic species will take our full attention!. After a couple hours driving the way downhill through the curvy road we reach the wonderful town of Mindo. Once there will visit the bird garden to watch the most beautiful species of birds like tanager, barbets, hummingbirds, after that we can do an adventure tour hiking to a beautiful waterfall or the zip lines. After lunch we finish with chocolate factory where you learn all the process to make the best chocolate of the world. Theres a chance to see spectacle bear near by it would be a wonderful experience, offcorse its not a guarantee watch it but could happen and your experience be come unique !!!
