Denmark—a small country with a big history. This is the land of the Vikings, the fearless seafarers. At the heart of it all lies Copenhagen, the capital city, one of the world’s most livable cities—rich with royal history, modern architecture, and a deep respect for nature and social balance. We’re starting here at Gammel Strand, one of the oldest parts of the city, and right behind me is the statue of Bishop Absalon. This guy was a warrior, politician, and city-builder. From here, we’ll walk toward Christiansborg Palace, the political heart of Denmark. Then, we’ll make our way to Kongens Nytorv, or King’s New Square. It’s the elegant gathering point of the city, framed by grand hotels, old theaters, and cafés. From there, we’ll stroll into the most colorful and photographed part of Copenhagen: Nyhavn. Finally, we’ll reach the majestic Amalienborg Palace, home of the Danish Royal Family. If we’re lucky, we might even catch the Royal Guard changing shifts.
1. Gammel Strand (Bishop Absalon Statue): Where Copenhagen began—founded in 1167 by the warrior-bishop Absalon. 2. Christiansborg Palace: Denmark’s center of power, housing Parliament, Supreme Court, and Prime Minister’s Office. 3. Kongens Nytorv (King’s New Square): A grand square surrounded by royal buildings, shops, and theaters since the 1600s. 4. Royal Danish Theatre: Denmark’s national stage for ballet, opera, and drama—dating back to 1748. 5. French Embassy (Thott Palace): A historic baroque mansion, now home to the French Embassy in Copenhagen. 6. Nyhavn: The city’s colorful harbor full of history, cafés, and Hans Christian Andersen’s old homes. 7. Amalienborg Palace: Official residence of the Danish royal family, guarded by the Royal Life Guards. 8. Marble Church (Frederik’s Church): A magnificent domed church, inspired by St. Peter’s in Rome, and over 150 years in the making. End of the tour The duration is three hours. The tour can be customised according to your preferences, please inquire.

We’ll meet at the statue of Bishop Absalon located at Gammel Strand. Gammel Strand is easy to reach by Metro—just take the M3 (City Ring) or M4 line to Gammel Strand Station, and the statue is right outside the exit. You’ll find it near the canal. You can request a different meeting location, for example your hotel.
