I am a native Copenhagener with a deep knowledge of Denmark. I have lived and travelled abroad extensively, and I really enjoy welcoming foreigners to the city I love so much. I both do walking tours in Copenhagen and bike or bus tours in or out of Copenhagen. My tours are always custom-designed to fit your interests and needs, and I hope you will experience that you both meet a local friend but also a deeply professional tour guide who really knows his city and culture and can put together a great tour and a great day/days for you. My interests span history over architecture and city planning to modern society and life in Denmark and beyond. I have guided professionally since 2014, but I also have a human resource background and a M. Sc. in Intercultural communication, and when I don't do guided tours, I teach Danish culture and Danish business culture to high-skilled foreigners coming to Copenhagen to work through my own company. Some of the low season, I also lead tours through Europe for an Australian company. Most of my tours in Copenhagen are walking tours, simply because it's the best way to explore inner Copenhagen and the surrounding districts - it's a compact city, and cars don't have a high priority, so walking (or biking) is the best way to get around the central parts of the city. (If you prefer biking or bussing instead of walking, that is also possible). For tours outside Copenhagen I mostly use a trusted bus driver and his bus, but I can also make (more economical) versions using public transport. I would like to give you a tour where you both see the Copenhagen highlights but also satisfy your curiosity of the modern life in Denmark, whatever your interests might be. During the longer tour, I like to include places where you can try a traditional Danish lunch - the "smørrebrød" (open faced sandwiches) - probably the most important addition from the Danish kitchen, and a thing I something do workshops in myself and like to present to guests. Apart from living in Copenhagen, I have spent 4-5 years living abroad (the United States, Argentina and Germany especially). I like to do outstanding tours and service, so if you need some help to plan the rest of your trip in Copenhagen before or after our tour, I am also happy to give advice. I really like meeting people from other countries, and hope to see you on one of my tours. MSc in Intercultural communication and management, university studies in Pennsylvania, USA and Buenos Aires, Argentina Official Danish tourist guide license from Roskilde University (one year full time studies) Broad and deep knowledge of Denmark, Europe and beyond - traveling, living abroad, and meeting people from different cultures have been my interest since childhood. I will not drive myself but hire a driver and van (or accompany you in your vehicle) on the tours that requires driving. (Both for insurance reasons and because I like to focus on the guiding).

Copenhagen has been a harbor city for 1000 years. As the commercial port has moved north, the city is now reclaiming its waterways—turning them into one of the most beautiful and livable urban spaces in Europe. This private tour lets you experience Copenhagen the way locals love it: both from the water and on foot, smoothly combined into one customized experience. You’ll be met at your hotel—or any meeting point you prefer in central Copenhagen—and enjoy a carefully coordinated tour that includes a private boat with its own captain. This means no boat office or logistics to think about. We can board and disembark exactly where it makes sense for your day, while I stay with you the entire time to ensure that what you see from the water perfectly complements what we explore on land. Copenhagen is very walkable city, and we will walk the first and last part of the tour, but if you prefer taxis or public transportation, that can easily be arranged (transport costs paid on the day).
During our private boat ride, you’ll see some of Copenhagen’s most iconic sights: • The Castle Island, birthplace of Copenhagen, home to Christiansborg Palace • Christianshavn’s canals, the “Little Amsterdam” district founded in 1623 with a view of Our Saviours Church with its turned spire • The former naval area with Cold War–era warships and historic docklands • Amalienborg Palace, with fantastic views to the Marble Church. • Modern architectural landmarks such as the Black Diamond, Circle Bridge, BLOX, The Opera House, and The Playhouse Highlights on Land On foot, we explore other essential parts of the city, including: • Our Lady’s Church, the Cathedral of Copenhagen • Strøget, one of Europe’s longest pedestrian shopping streets • King’s New Square (Kongens Nytorv) • Nyhavn, the iconic 17th-century harbor with its colorful houses • And much more—depending on where we begin and end the tour

We use a private, electric boat which is primarily fuelled by solar energy. The boat has space for 6 guests, plus your captain and guide, all seated around a picnic-table. There's a possibility to upgrade to a 8 guest boat with a bimini top cover - in that case inquire about the price difference. There's no shade or roof on the 6 person boat, so prepare for the weather. If the weather looks very bad, I will write you a few days before so we might be able to cancel or convert the tour to a tour on the ground instead. Flexible tour length: The listed price is based on: • 1 hour by boat + 2 hours on foot (3 hours total) However, this tour is fully flexible. Popular alternatives include: • 4 hours (2 hours sailing / 2 hours walking) • 5 hours (2 hours sailing / 3 hours walking) • 6 hours (2 hours sailing / 4 hours walking) Just let me know what suits your interests and pace, and I’ll tailor the experience to you.

When you book, please let me know where you'll like to meet, and if you have priorities as to where the tour should end, also include that (e.g. back at the hotel, a place for lunch, a central place in the city, etc). If you prefer to use transport rather than walk, or walk very slow, that would also be helpful to know for the planning. You are also welcome to send an inquiry first.
