Many of my family members lived outside of Chile, so trips and tours have always been part of my life, and I developed a personal interest about both the world and other countries since I was a child. When I studied journalism in college, I was able to explore a little bit more about our history and the reasons behind our development, those that led Chile to be the way it is, and me the way I am. But these studies also gave me the initiative to travel and explore on my own. I love sharing part of my time visiting places abroad, and and showing the places and activities that travelers want to visit in Chile! In a country with a large selection of landscapes and cultures, most of the trips start or finish in Santiago, a place that can used as a starting point for many day tours or activities too. I can assure you that with my 25 years of experience as a tour guide and a host to foreign travelers in Chile, this truly is a place that you can visit, learn, and enjoy. Jean, the debonnaire raconteur of Chilean history! What a great afternoon walking the streets of Santiago. Behind the walls and facades is a deep cultural history. I truly enjoyed his overview of history in order for my greater appreciation of current events and politics. Excellent tour and most highly recommended.
Jean Albert brings a comprehensive, exhaustive knowledge to the tour. He was completely flexible in adjusting the tour. He met us at our hotel with a comfortable SUV and driver, so that we never lost time looking for parking and had his full attention. Jean Albert has lived and traveled in the States and his English is excellent. It was a good introduction to Santiago.
Jean is a world of knowledge. You must go to the museo precolombino and have him explain the history of chile and how it ties to other histories thru time. Amazing experience and very easy going day touring with him.

To continue with a relaxing stroll through downtown. Passing by historical buildings like the Pre Columbian Art Museum , the Justice Palace or the former National Congress. ·We'll go into the financial & civic centre, seeing centuries worth of development of Santiago reflected in its buildings. ·Next, we'll to the Metropolitan Park to take a cable car to the top of its San Cristobal Hill. Where we'll be able to enjoy an overview of the city. ·Afterwards you'll get surprised by the modern district of Vitacura. Where we go to the city ends and the Andes start. ·As we finish the tour, we can leave you in one of the areas we visited, for lunch. Or also suggest you a restaurant that can fulfill your needs to enjoy a nice dinner.
