Santiago Walking Half Day Tour

I so enjoyed getting to know Santiago through Paula’s eyes. We covered history, culture and what it’s like in Santiago today. She went above and beyond to make my day special.

There are not enough positive things I can say about our tour with Paula. We are a group of 3 seniors who were interested in the learning the history of Chile with a focus on the political history and also visiting the Museum on Human Rights. She developed a personalized tour that more than exceeded our expectations. She is incredibly knowledgeable and paced the tour to fit our needs. We walked, took the subway, and also had a private car with a driver. It as an enriching experience. She is fluent in English and I cannot recommend her any more highly.

We had a wonderful day with Paula. She took us to many of the historic sites of Santiago and gave us information about what we were seeing that is not in any tour book. The highlight for the group was the Pre-Columbia Museum. Her training at that museum was priceless and what she passed on to us had our group talking about it throughout dinner that night. Wow is all I can say!

We spent a wonderful 5 hours walking the streets of Santiago with Paula. She showed us many of the major attractions and introduced us to unique places and features of this large metropolitan city. We explored several smaller neighborhoods traveling by foot and by the city’s very good subway. Paula offered suggestions for meals and how we might use the balance of our time in Santiago and helped us purchase a BIP card for later rides on the subway. She provided just the right amount of information for us to understand better the history and culture of Chile and Santiago. Lastly, her English was superb. We highly recommend her.

Paula’s tour was fabulous. She showed us all the sites of Santiago, with an up-close look at the history, people and politics. Equally important, she shared her knowledge with an enthusiasm we found infectious. We won the tour guide lottery by booking with Paula. If you’re ever in Santiago, we suggest you do the same!
