Six Centuries of Santiago: Complete City Tour

Travel through six centuries of history in a single day, with private hotel pickup and drop-off. Santiago was founded in 1541 on the site of an Inca administrative center, and this full-day private tour follows the city's story from its colonial heart to its 21st-century skyline. We begin at the Plaza de Armas, where Pedro de Valdivia founded the city, and explore the Metropolitan Cathedral and the Presidential Palace of La Moneda, both shaped by architect Joaquín Toesca, plus the Central Market, its iron frame cast in Scotland in 1872. We climb Santa Lucía Hill, wander artistic Lastarria, and pause for lunch at El Hoyo, a classic restaurant founded in 1912 and birthplace of Chile's "terremoto" cocktail.
